The 2012 Copa Argentina Final was the 185th and final match of the 2011–12 Copa Argentina, the first edition of the national cup relaunched by AFA in 2011. It was played in single match between Boca Juniors and Racing Club, on August 8, 2012 at the Estadio San Juan del Bicentenario. The winner qualified to play the 2012 Copa Sudamericana. 2011–12 Copa Argentina
The 2011–12 Copa Argentina was the third edition of the Copa Argentina, and the first since 1970. The competition began on August 31, 2011 and ended on August 8, 2012. The tournament featured 186 clubs from the top five levels of the Argentine football league system. The winner (Boca Juniors) qualified for the 2012 Copa Sudamericana. The tournament was originally scheduled to end on May 25, but due to the participation of Boca Juniors in the knockout stages of the Copa Libertadores. The final was disputed on 8 August 2012, with the triumph for Boca Juniors 2–1 against Racing. Teams One hundred and eighty-six teams took part in this season's competition. Club El Porvenir
Club El Porvenir is an Argentine football club, located in the Gerli district of Lanús Partido in Greater Buenos Aires. The team currently plays in Primera C, the regionalised fourth division of the Argentine football league system. History The club was established on 12 September 1915 in Villa Porvenir, Avellaneda Partido, primarily as a Greco-Roman wrestling club. The football team debuted in official tournaments in 1918, playing its home games at the Club "Sígame Si Puede" ("Follow me if You can", in Spanish, current Sportivo Dock Sud). Franco Sosa (footballer, Born 1981)
Franco Sebastián Sosa (born 4 April 1981) is an Argentine football defender currently playing for Ñuñorco. Career Born in Monteros, Tucumán Province, Sosa started his playing career in 2001 with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy of the Argentine 2nd division. He was part of the team that won the Clausura 2005 and obtained promotion to the Argentine Primera. Sosa played for Gimnasia until the end of 2006, making over 100 appearances for the club, 43 in the Primera. During the January 2006 transfer window Sosa joined Racing Club, quickly establishing himself as a key member of their defence, making appearances in 33 of the club's 38 matches in 2007. Oscar Alfredo Ustari (born 3 July 1986) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Liga MX club Pachuca. After starting out at Independiente he spent most of his professional career in Spain, mainly with Getafe where he had his spell marred by injuries. He also played several seasons in Liga MX. Career Racing Club Valentín came through the Racing Club youth development system, and made his debut for Racing's first team in a friendly match against El Porvenir in January 2010. Resistencia () is the capital and largest city of the province of Chaco in north-eastern Argentina. According to the 2010 census, the population of the city proper was 291,720 inhabitants.
