2012 Chesapeake Bayhawks Season
The 2012 Chesapeake Bayhawks season is the 12th season for the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse. The Bayhawks were looking to rebound after a semifinal loss in the 2011 MLL playoffs to Boston. Off-season Draft The first Chesapeake Bayhawk to be drafted in 2012 was long-stick midfielder C.J. Costabile. He was the 5th overall pick, and netted 15 goals and 16 assists for 31 points in 3 years at Duke. The Bayhawks drafted 9 total men from the draft. Dave Cottle
Dave Cottle is a retired American field lacrosse, lacrosse coach. He was a consultant for Marquette University, when they added men's and women's varsity lacrosse on December 16, 2010. He was previously the head coach for the Maryland Terrapins lacrosse, Maryland Terrapins men's lacrosse team at the University of Maryland, College Park, University of Maryland from 2002 to 2010. Cottle also coached the Loyola Greyhounds men's lacrosse, Loyola College men's lacrosse team from 1983 to 2001. College career Cottle attended Northern High School (Baltimore), Northern High School in his hometown of Baltimore, Maryland. He later enrolled at Salisbury University, Salisbury State University in Salisbury, Maryland, where he played lacrosse from 1975 to 1978. During his playing career, he set numerous school and NCAA records. Harvard Stadium
Harvard Stadium is a U-shaped college football stadium in the northeast United States, located in the Allston neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The stadium is owned and operated by Harvard University and is home to the Harvard Crimson football program. The stadium's seating capacity is 30,323. Selby Field
Selby Field, usually referred to simply as Selby, is the football, field hockey, track & field and lacrosse field at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio, where the Battling Bishops play. Selby has a seating capacity of 9,100, with all seats falling between the 15-yard lines of the field. Its press box was lauded as ''the largest in Ohio outside of Ohio Stadium.'' Built in 1929, the grandstands of Selby are two separate smooth-finished concrete structures which provide seating for 9,100. American Legion Memorial Stadium is a 10,500-seat stadium located on 7th Street in the Elizabeth community of Charlotte, North Carolina. It is located on a complex with the Grady Cole Center. Both are located next to Central Piedmont Community College. Independence Park Stadium, a tiny public baseball stadium, is also close by. Memorial Stadium is mainly used for high school sporting events and also serves as a public venue. Charlotte Hounds
The Charlotte Hounds were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) field lacrosse franchise that began play in the 2012 MLL season and ceased operations after the 2018 season. The team played their home games at American Legion Memorial Stadium. Franchise history In January 2011 the MLL voted to grant expansion teams to Charlotte and Columbus, Ohio for the 2012 MLL Season. The team's first hire was Wade Leaphart, who was instrumental in establishing the team's identity, sales, marketing and operations, among other things. Empower Field at Mile High (previously known as Broncos Stadium at Mile High, Invesco Field at Mile High and Sports Authority Field at Mile High, and commonly known as Mile High, New Mile High or Mile High Stadium) is an American football stadium in Denver, Colorado, United States. The Denver Outlaws were a Major League Lacrosse professional men's field lacrosse team based in Denver, Colorado, United States. They began playing in the MLL in 2006 as an expansion team. Since joining the league, the Outlaws have played in the championship game a league-record ten times. They have only missed the playoffs once in franchise history and have never had a losing season. The Outlaws regularly post the highest attendance in the league. Ron Joyce Stadium is a football stadium owned by McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. The stadium is the home of the McMaster Marauders football team and the Hamilton Nationals of Major League Lacrosse. The Hamilton Nationals were a Major League Lacrosse (MLL) professional men's field lacrosse team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
