2012 Bahraini King's Cup
The Bahraini King's Cup is a cup competition involving teams from the Bahraini Premier League and 2nd tier. Al Hadd are banned from this year's competition after they withdrew from their semi-final match against Muharraq in the 2011 Bahraini King's Cup competition. The cup winner qualified for the 2013 AFC Cup. Al-Muharraq Sports Club ( ar, نادي المحرق الرياضي) is a Bahraini professional football club based in Muharraq. It is one of the oldest sports clubs in the Arabian Peninsula. Al-Muharraq Sports Club has won the Bahraini Premier League 33 times. Al-Muharraq Sports Club also takes part in other sports like futsal, basketball, bowling and volleyball. Al-Ahli Club of Manama ( ar, النادي الأهلي البحريني) is a Bahraini sports club based in the capital city of Manama. They used to play in the top division in Bahraini football but were relegated to the second division after finishing ninth in the 2011–12 First Division league. Manama Club ( ar, المنامة) is a Bahraini professional football club based in Manama. Founded in 1946, the club competes in the Bahraini Premier League, the top flight of football in the country. Manama Club, formally known as Al Taj, is a well-known basketball club in the Gulf and Asia. They have two Gulf Championships, and were the first-ever Bahraini club and second-ever Gulf club to come in third place in the 2000 ABC Champions Cup.
