2012 Allsvenskan
The 2012 Allsvenskan, part of the 2012 Swedish football season, was the 88th season of Allsvenskan since its establishment in 1924. The 2012 fixtures were released on 12 December 2011. The season started on 31 March 2012 and ended on 4 November 2012. There was a five-week-long break between 24 May and 30 June during the UEFA Euro 2012. Helsingborgs IF were the defending champions, having won their fifth Swedish championship and their seventh Allsvenskan title the previous season. Allsvenskan (; en, the All-Swedish, also known as Fotbollsallsvenskan, en, the Football All-Swedish) is a Swedish professional league for men's association football clubs. It was founded in 1924 and is the top tier of the Swedish football league system, operating on a system of promotion and relegation with Superettan. Seasons run from late March or early April to the beginning of November, with the 16 clubs all meeting each other twice, resulting in a 30-match season, for a total of 240 matches league-wide. Allsvenskan is ranked 23rd in the UEFA coefficients of leagues based on performances in European competitions over the last five years. Kalmar Fotbollförening, more commonly known as Kalmar FF, is a Swedish professional football club based in Kalmar. The club is affiliated to Smålands Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Guldfågeln Arena. Nanne Bergstrand
Kurt Arne "Nanne" René Bergstrand (born 28 April 1956) is a Swedish football manager and former football player. He has previously coached Helsingborgs IF, Östers IF, Kalmar FF and Hammarby IF in Allsvenskan. His over ten-year tenure as manager of Kalmar FF made him the tenth longest-serving manager in European first-division football at the time according to UEFA. During the later years of his career at Kalmar FF he was sometimes referred to as the Swedish equivalent to Alex Ferguson. Playing career A forward, Bergstrand started playing first team football at the age of 16 for the local small town club Markaryds IF. He had short spells at Allsvenskan clubs Halmstads BK and Kalmar FF as well as a trial with Manchester City in 1980, who were unable to sign him due to work permit issues. Jens Fjellström
Jens Fjellström (born 27 October 1966) is a former footballer and football commentator. He is currently working as a scout for the Danish national football team. Club career Fjellström started his career at local Umeå club Gimonäs CK. After the bigger clubs noticed his skills he moved to Stockholm and Djurgårdens IF. He remained at Djurgården for five seasons before moving to Malmö FF. He enjoyed much success at the club and went on a loan to Dalian Wanda in China before playing a final season in Malmö. Superettan (; meaning the super first (division)) is an association football league and the second highest league in the league system of Swedish men's football. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with Allsvenskan and Division 1. Seasons run from April to October, with teams playing 30 matches each, totalling 240 matches in the season. The league was created in 2000. RÃ¥sunda Stadium (; also known as RÃ¥sunda Fotbollsstadion, RÃ¥sundastadion, RÃ¥sunda Football Stadium or just RÃ¥sunda) was the Swedish national football stadium. The 2012 UEFA European Football Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Euro 2012 or simply Euro 2012, was the 14th European Championship for men's national football teams organised by UEFA.
