The 2012 All-Big 12 Conference football team consists of American football players chosen as All-Big 12 Conference players for the 2012 Big 12 Conference football season. The conference recognizes two official All-Big 12 selectors: (1) the Big 12 conference coaches selected separate offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Coaches" team); and (2) a panel of sports writers and broadcasters covering the Big 12 also selected offensive and defensive units and named first- and second-team players (the "Media" team). The 2012 Big 12 Conference football season was the 17th season for the Big 12, as part of the 2012 NCAA Division I FBS football season. LaAdrian Waddle
LaAdrian Waddle (born July 21, 1991) is an American football offensive tackle who is currently a free agent. He played college football at Texas Tech. High school career A native of Columbus, Texas, Waddle attended Columbus High School where he was coached by Brent Mascheck. The Columbus Cardinals finished 5–4 in Waddle's senior year and did not make the UIL playoffs. Behind Waddle pulling and clearing the way for the running back, the Cardinals averaged 281.0 rushing yards per game with 26 rushing touchdowns on the season. Regarded as a three-star recruit by ''Rivals.com'', Waddle was ranked as the No. 74 offensive guard prospect nationally in a class that also included Jonotthan Harrison, Corey Linsley, and Chance Warmack. Devonte Fields is a Canadian football defensive lineman for the Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He previously played college football for TCU, Trinity Valley Community College, and Louisville. Early years Fields attended Arlington Martin High School in Arlington, Texas. As a senior, he had 73 tackles, 13 sacks and two interceptions. He committed to Texas Christian University (TCU) to play college football. College career As a freshman at TCU in 2012, Fields started all 13 games and had 53 tackles, 10 sacks and an interception. He was named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year. Eric Ward (born July 24, 1990) is a former American football wide receiver. Ward played at the college level for Texas Tech Early years Ward played at the wide receiver position at S. H. Rider High School in Wichita Falls, Texas. Ward was rated a 4-star prospect by Rivals.com coming out of high school. College career 2009-2010 Ward played at the college level for Texas Tech where he redshirted his freshman season in 2009. He played college football at Kansas State, and was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Harper has also been a member of the San Francisco 49ers , the Green Bay Packers and the New York Giants. High school Harper was born in Wichita, Kansas. He attended Northwest High School in Wichita, and played high school football for the Northwest Grizzlies. He played college football at Oklahoma and was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 2013 NFL Draft.
