2012 AFL Draft
The 2012 AFL draft consisted of five opportunities for player acquisitions during the 2012/13 Australian Football League off-season. Gold Coast Convention Centre
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC) is located on the Gold Coast Highway in Broadbeach, Queensland, Australia. The venue was opened on 29 June 2004 at a cost of A$167 million and is linked by a covered walkway to The Star Gold Coast. Josh Caddy
Joshua Nicholas Caddy (born 28 September 1992) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who last played for the Richmond Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). He previously played for the Gold Coast Football Club from 2011 to 2012, and the Geelong Football Club from 2013 to 2016. Caddy was drafted by Gold Coast with the seventh selection in the 2010 AFL draft after captaining underage football with the Northern Knights in the TAC Cup. He was a premiership player with Richmond in both 2017 and 2019. Junior football Caddy played junior football with Eltham in the Diamond Valley Football League before joining the Northern Knights in the TAC Cup. Angus Monfries
Angus Monfries (born 19 January 1987) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Essendon Football Club and Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Monfries played as a forward pocket or half forward. AFL career Monfries was drafted by the Bombers with selection 14 in the 2004 AFL draft. He played football for Walkerville Junior Football Club before moving to Melbourne. He made his debut in Round 1, 2005 against Melbourne, which saw him become the 200th player to have played under coach Kevin Sheedy. Steven Salopek (born 21 June 1985) is an Australian rules footballer of Croatian descent who played for Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Narre Warren Football Club in Melbourne's south-east, Salopek played for the Dandenong Stingrays in the TAC Cup before being a first round drafted choice at the 2002 AFL Draft, being selected at number six by Port Adelaide. Quinten Peter Lynch (born 24 January 1983) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Collingwood Football Club and the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). Originally from Grass Patch, a rural farming community near Esperance, Western Australia, he played for the West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) before being recruited to West Coast with the 19th pick overall in the 2002 Rookie Draft. A utility player, Lynch began his career as a defender, but later switched to the forward line, leading West Coast's goalkicking in 2006 and 2007 as well as playing in the club's 2006 premiership side. Jordan Russell
Jordan Russell (born 6 November 1986) is an Australian rules footballer who played for the Collingwood Football Club and the Carlton Football Club in the Australian Football League. Russell was recruited as the number 9 draft pick in the 2004 AFL Draft from West Adelaide. Brendon Goddard (born 20 May 1985) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for St Kilda and Essendon in the Australian Football League (AFL).
