2011–12 Yale Bulldogs Women's Ice Hockey Season
The Yale Bulldogs women's hockey team will represent Yale University in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. Senior Aleca Hughes will be the team captain. The Bulldogs will compete in the Nutmeg Classic on November 25 and 26. Offseason *July 26: Incoming freshman goaltender Jaimie Leonoff has been selected to participate in Hockey Canada's National Women's Under-22 training camp. Hockey Canada

Jessica Koizumi
Jessica "Jess" Koizumi (Ka-Zoo-Me) (born April 15, 1985) is an American ice hockey coach and player, currently serving as the associate head coach of the Vermont Catamounts women's ice hockey program. She won a gold medal as a member of the United States national women's ice hockey team at the 2008 IIHF Women's World Championship. During her playing career, Koizumi played with the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Western Women's Hockey League (WWHL), the Montreal Stars and the Boston Blades of the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL), and the Connecticut Whale of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF). Ice hockey at the 2011 Canada Winter Games was held at the Halifax Metro Centre and Halifax Forum in Halifax and the Dartmouth Sportsplex in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Shattuck-St. Mary's (also known as Shattuck-St. Mary's School, Shattuck, or simply SSM) is a coeducational Episcopal-affiliated boarding school in Faribault, Minnesota, United States. 2011–12 Mercyhurst Lakers Women's Ice Hockey Season
The Mercyhurst Lakers women's hockey team will represent Mercyhurst College in the 2011–12 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Lakers were coached by Michael Sisti and won the regular season College Hockey America championship. During the season, the Lakers only carried 17 skaters, but the club won its 12th consecutive regular season title. In addition, the squad qualified for the NCAA tournament for the eighth consecutive season, an NCAA Division I women's hockey record. Aleca Hughes
Aleca Hughes (born April 5, 1990) was the captain of the Yale Bulldogs during the 2011–12 Yale Bulldogs women's ice hockey season. For her work in trying to help find a donor for Mandi Schwartz, she was a finalist for the 2011 Hockey Humanitarian Award. In 2012, she would win the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup, Hockey Humanitarian Award, and the Sarah Devens Award. She would be the first member of the Ivy League to win the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup. Playing career Yale Her freshman season with the Yale Bulldogs was in 2008-09 and she was recognized as a member of the ECAC All-Academic team. She skated on the same line with Mandi Schwartz to begin her freshman season. Her seven goals ranked third on the team, while her sixteen points ranked fourth. Sarah Devens Award
The Sarah Devens Award is given as a joint award between the ECAC Hockey and Hockey East conferences to a women's ice hockey player. The criteria for the Devens Award is for a player who demonstrates leadership and commitment both on and off the ice. Both conferences submitted a league nominee for consideration and the winner is also given a post-graduate scholarship of $10,000. The award is named in honor of former Dartmouth Big Green ice hockey player, Sarah Devens, who died in 1995 prior to her senior year.
