2011–12 Weber State Wildcats Men's Basketball Team
The 2011–12 Weber State Wildcats men's basketball team represented Weber State University during the 2011–12 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Wildcats, led by sixth year head coach Randy Rahe, played their home games at Dee Events Center and are members of the Big Sky Conference. They finished the season 25–7, 14–2 in Big Sky play to finish in second place. They lost in the championship game of the Big Sky Basketball tournament to Montana. They were invited to the 2012 CollegeInsider.com Tournament where they defeated Utah Valley in the first round before falling to Loyola Marymount in the second round. Randy Rahe
Randy Michael Rahe (born June 12, 1960) is an American college basketball coach and the former head men's basketball coach at Weber State University. Randy Rahe was hired on March 23, 2006, as the 9th coach in Weber State's 47-year history. Rahe announced his retirement May 16, 2022 through the University, Rahe came to WSU from the University of Utah where he was an assistant under former coach Ray Giacoletti. Rahe was also an assistant under Stew Morrill for 13 seasons, first at Colorado State University and then at Utah State University. Rahe posted a record of 54–17 as a high school coach in Colorado from 1985 to 1988. He has also been an assistant coach at Colorado College, Colorado and Denver. Born in Bancroft, Iowa, Rahe graduated from Buena Vista University located in Storm Lake, Iowa in 1982. At BVU he played point guard in basketball and shortstop in baseball. Cal State Monterey Bay Otters
The Cal State Monterey Bay Otters (or CSUMB Otters) are the athletic teams that represent California State University, Monterey Bay, located in Monterey County, California, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) for most of its sports since the 2004–05 academic year; while its women's water polo teams compete in the Western Water Polo Association (WWPA). Davion Berry
Davion Christopher Lamont Berry (born November 1, 1991) is an American professional basketball player for Manama Club of the Bahraini Premier League. He played college basketball for the Weber State Wildcats where he was named Big Sky Conference Player of the Year in 2014. High school career Berry attended Hayward High School where he led his team to a 21–9 record his senior season. He was the named the team MVP and an All-League First Team selection that season. College career After graduating, Berry attended Cal State Monterey Bay for two years where he averaged 18.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and twice earned All-Conference First Team honors. Scott Bamforth
Scott Douglas Bamforth (born August 12, 1989) is an American-Kosovan professional basketball player for Victoria Libertas Pesaro of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). Standing at 6 ft 2 in (1.88 m), he plays at the shooting guard position. He played college basketball at Western Nebraska CC and Weber State. High school and college career Bamforth attended and played for Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Damian Lamonte Ollie Lillard Sr. (born July 15, 1990) is an American professional basketball player for the Portland Trail Blazers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played college basketball for the Weber State Wildcats and earned third-team All-American honors in 2012. Lindon is a city in Utah County, Utah, United States. It is part of the Provo–Orem, Utah Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 10,070 at the 2010 census.
