2011–12 Segunda División De Futsal
The 2011–12 season of the Segunda División de Futsal was the 19th season of second-tier futsal in Spain. Oxipharma and Martorell were originally the promoted teams but both teams gave up due to financial reasons. Two vacancy seats were filled by Gáldar Gran Canaria and Burela Pescados Rubén. The Segunda División División de Plata is the second professional futsal league in Spain; it is within of the Liga Nacional de Futbol Sala. It was founded in the 1993–94 season with the current name. The División de Plata league, which also is played under UEFA rules, currently consists in one group of 14 teams, including teams like FS Cartagena, Futsal Cartagena, CD La Escuela, Segovia Futsal, O'Parrulo FS, O'Parrulo or ElPozo Murcia FS, ElPozo Ciudad de Murcia. *From 2011–12 season onwards, División de Plata will be known as Segunda División. The Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper () is the training ground and academy base of Spanish football club FC Barcelona. It was officially opened on 1 June 2006, and was named in honor of Joan Gamper, founder of the club.
