2011–12 Regional Super50
The 2011–12 Regional Super50 was the 38th season of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). All matches in the competition, which was the first edition to be branded as the Regional Super50, were held in Guyana. Eight teams contested the competition – the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), and two development teams (Combined Campuses and Colleges and the Sagicor High Performance Centre). In the tournament final, played at Guyana National Stadium, Jamaica defeated Trinidad and Tobago by five wickets to win an eighth domestic one-day title. The two joint winners from the previous season, Barbados and the Leewards, both failed to win a game. West Indies Cricket Board
Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies). It was originally formed in the early 1920s as the West Indies Cricket Board of Control, but changed its name to West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) in 1996. In November 2015, the Board resolved to rename itself as Cricket West Indies as part of a restructuring exercise that would also see the creation of a separate commercial body. This rebranding formally occurred in May 2017. CWI has been a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 1926. Dwayne Smith
Dwayne Romel Smith (born 12 April 1983) is a former Barbadian international cricketer who has represented the West Indies in all three formats of the game. An all-rounder, he is known as an aggressive and powerful right-handed batsman, bowls medium pace, and is also an athletic fielder. Smith played for Barbados since the start of his career but also played three seasons, from 2008 to 2010, for Sussex. Javon Ramon Searles (born 21 December 1986) played seven matches for West Indies at Under 19 level, including four matches in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. Dale Richards
Dale Maurice Richards (born 16 July 1976) is a West Indian international cricketer who plays first class cricket for Barbados. A right-handed batsman, Richards debuted in 1999/2000. His highest first class score of 159 was made against Jamaica in the Carib Beer Series of 2006/07. Richards was called up for the West Indies' tour of England in 2009 but although he featured in two warm-up matches, he was forced to return home with a shoulder injury. Ashley Renaldo Nurse (born 22 December 1988) is a West Indian cricketer who plays first-class, List A and Twenty20 cricket for Barbados. He is a right-arm off-break bowler and a right-handed batsman. Ryan O'Neal Hinds (born 17 February 1981) is a West Indian cricketer. He is a left-hand batsman and a slow left-arm orthodox bowler. Jonathan Lyndon Carter (born 16 November 1987) is a Barbadian cricketer who currently plays for Barbados. He is a big-hitting left-handed batsman who also bowls right-arm medium pace.
