The 2011–12 Leinster Rugby season was Leinster's eleventh season competing in the Pro12, they also competed in the Heineken Cup which they won for the second consecutive year. The Leinster 'A' team however were knocked out of the British and Irish Cup by Munster A in the semi-final. Leinster Rugby
Leinster Rugby ( ga, Rugbaí Laighean) is one of the four professional provincial rugby union teams from the island of Ireland and the most successful Irish team domestically. They compete in the United Rugby Championship and the European Rugby Champions Cup. Leinster play their home games primarily at the RDS Arena, although larger games are played in the Aviva Stadium when the capacity of the RDS is insufficient. Before moving to the RDS in 2005, Leinster's traditional home ground was Donnybrook Stadium, in Dublin 4. The province plays primarily in blue with white or yellow trim and the team crest features a harp within a rugby ball, the harp being an ancient symbol of the province found in and taken from the flag of Leinster, although the colours are closer to the flag of the President of Ireland or the Coat of arms of Ireland. Greg Feek
Gregory Edward Feek (born 20 July 1975) is a New Zealand rugby union former player who now works as a rugby coach. He played 10 tests for the All Blacks between 1999 and 2001 as a prop, in addition to 63 appearances with the Crusaders. Feek was born in New Plymouth. He played provincial rugby for Taranaki between 1996 and 1998 and Canterbury between 1999 and 2005. He also played for New Zealand Maori in 2006. He since retired from playing rugby. In 2008, Feek was the forwards coach for the Wellington Hurricanes in Super Rugby. Nathan White (rugby Union)
Nathan White is a retired rugby union player from New Zealand, who played internationally for . He played as a prop, primarily at tighthead. White last played for Irish provincial side Connacht in the Pro12, and had previously played for Leinster, another province. Before moving to Ireland, he played Super Rugby for the Chiefs and provincial rugby for Waikato. Club career In New Zealand White first played rugby for the Te Awamutu Sports Club. In 2002, he joined the National Provincial Championship side, Waikato. White was brought in to play for Super 14 side the Chiefs in 2006. Heinke Van Der Merwe
Heinke van der Merwe (born 3 May 1985 in Johannesburg, South Africa) is a professional South African rugby union player. His first tour with the Springboks was to France, Italy, Ireland & England in late 2009 where he played in one test and two touring matches. In June 2010, van der Merwe joined Leinster on a 2-year contract, replacing CJ van der Linde at the province. Mike Ross (rugby Union)
Mike Ross (born 21 December 1979) is a retired Irish rugby union footballer who played prop for Irish club Leinster and the Ireland national rugby team. He attended St. Colman's College, Fermoy, as a day-boy from 1992 to 1998, and he played his club rugby at this time with Fermoy RFC. The former UCC and Cork Constitution player made the move from Munster and played for three years at the highest level in England, making his name in the English Premiership with Harlequins. Following a move to Leinster, he featured in a number of Ireland squads and lined out for the Wolfhounds, as well as making his debut for the National team on the 2009 Summer tour to Canada and the USA. Jack McGrath (rugby Union)
Jack McGrath (born 11 October 1989) is a former Irish rugby union player who played loosehead prop. He played professionally for Leinster and Ulster and has also played international rugby for Ireland and the British and Irish Lions. Cian Healy (born 7 October 1987) is an Irish rugby union rugby player. He plays for Leinster, and has also won over 100 caps for the Ireland national team. He was named as part of the Lions squad for the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia, but withdrew due to injury playing only twice. Jamie Hagan
Jamie Hagan (born 15 April 1987) is an Irish rugby player. He currently plays for the Béziers. Hagan was capped for against in 2013. His playing position is prop. Hagan is from Balbriggan in Dublin. Tom Sexton (rugby Union)
Tom Sexton (born 10 December 1989) is a professional rugby union player who plays for The Western Force in the Super Rugby competition. His usual position is hooker. Early years Sexton was born in Melbourne, and left Australia at age four. Sexton was educated at Belvedere College in Dublin. He won a Leinster Schools Junior Cup with Belvedere and also captained his school to a tenth Leinster Schools Senior Cup win in 2008. Aaron Dundon
Aaron Dundon (born 22 June 1982) is a retired rugby union player from New Zealand. He played for the Irish team Leinster Rugby in the Pro12 and European Rugby Champions Cup. His primary playing position was at hooker. Since retirement, Dundon has become the forwards coach for Top 14 club Grenoble. Richardt Strauss
Richardt Strauss (born 28 January 1986) is a former professional rugby union player who played as a hooker. Born in Pretoria, South Africa, he began his career with the Free State Cheetahs and played for the Cheetahs in Super Rugby before moving to Ireland to play for Leinster Rugby in 2009. Seán Cronin (rugby Union)
Seán Cronin (born 6 May 1986) is an Irish rugby union player who plays as a hooker for Leinster in the United Rugby Championship. He also played for the Ireland national rugby union team. Youth Cronin was educated at Ardscoil Rís in Limerick. He previously played with Shannon and Munster Rugby, where he had progressed through their academy to a development contract.
