2011–12 Football League Cup
The 2011–12 Football League Cup (known as the Carling Cup for sponsorship reasons) was the 52nd season of the Football League Cup, a knock-out competition for the top 92 football clubs played in English football league system. Birmingham City were the defending champions, but were knocked out 2–0 by Manchester City in the Third Round. Liverpool, the winner of the competition, qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. The final was held on 26 February 2012, and was contested at Wembley Stadium between finalists Liverpool and Cardiff City. Cardiff were the first team outside the Premier League to appear in a League Cup final since 2001. It was Liverpool's first appearance at the new Wembley. Broadfield Stadium
The Broadfield Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Crawley, England. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Crawley Town F.C. The stadium has a capacity of 6,134 people, and is owned by Crawley Borough Council. Between 2013 and 2018, the stadium was named the Checkatrade.com Stadium as part of a sponsorship deal. In late 2018, the stadium was renamed "The Peoples Pension Stadium" as part of a new sponsorship deal. For the 2022/23 Season, the stadium has reverted back to being named the "Broadfield Stadium". Jack Midson
Jack William Midson (born 12 September 1983) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Sheppey United where he is player-manager. Midson was the 2011–12 League Two joint top scorer, along with Izale McLeod, Lewis Grabban and Adebayo Akinfenwa, with 18 goals and scored 20 goals in all competitions during the 2011–12 season for AFC Wimbledon, finishing the season as their top scorer. Luke Moore (footballer Born 1988)
Luke Robert Moore (born 27 April 1988) is an English semi-professional footballer who plays for Dorking Wanderers as a forward. Moore was part of the AFC Wimbledon squad that triumphed over Luton Town in the 2011 Conference play-off final, scoring in the penalty shoot-out to help promote "The Dons" to the Football League. He previously played for Ebbsfleet United, forming part of the squad that beat Torquay United 1–0 in the 2008 FA Trophy Final. Matthew Stephen Tubbs (born 15 July 1984) is an English professional footballer who plays as a striker for Bashley. Sergio Raul Torres (born 11 July 1981) is an Argentine football coach and former player who was most recently the assistant manager for Eastbourne Borough in National League South. Hope Ini Ita Akpan (born 14 August 1991) is a professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Widnes. He came through the youth ranks at Everton, making his first-team debut in 2009. He later played for Hull City (on loan), Crawley Town, Reading, Blackburn Rovers, Burton Albion and Bradford City. Crawley Town F
Crawley () is a large town and borough in West Sussex, England. It is south of London, north of Brighton and Hove, and north-east of the county town of Chichester.
