2011–12 FC Viktoria Plzeň Season
The 2011–12 season was Viktoria Plzeň's seventh consecutive season in the Gambrinus liga. Having won the Gambrinus liga the previous season, they entered the competition as defending champions. As league champions they also took part in the UEFA Champions League for the first time in their history. Plzeň started the season by defeating FC Pyunik in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League, winning with an aggregate score of 9–1. Later that month they claimed the Supercup with a penalty shootout win over rivals Mladá Boleslav. The club subsequently navigated the third qualifying round and play-off round of the Champions League to qualify for the group stage, where they were drawn with giants Barcelona and A.C. Football Club Viktoria Plzeň () is a Czech professional football club based in Plzeň. They play in the Czech First League, the top division of football in the country. As runners-up in the 1970–71 Czechoslovak Cup, the club gained the right to play in the following season's Cup Winners' Cup, as winners Spartak Trnava also won the championship and played in the European Cup. FC BATE Borisov (russian: link=no, ФК БАТЭ Борисов, ''FK BATE Borisov'' ; be, ФК БАТЭ Барысаў, ''BATE Barysaw,'' ) is a professional Belarusian football team from the city of Barysaw. Petr Jiráček
Petr Jiráček (born 2 March 1986) is a Czech footballer. A midfielder, he operates either as a box-to-box or more in an attacking role. Career Clubs After starting out at Baník Sokolov, club where he had arrived at 10 years old, and spending two professional seasons there, Jiráček made a move to Viktoria Plzeň. With Viktoria, he made exactly 100 league appearances and was a key part in the team that won the 2010–11 Czech championship, a feat never accomplished before in the history of the club. Bohemians 1905
Bohemians Praha 1905 (previously named FC Bohemians Praha) is a Prague-based football club, which was founded in 1905 as AFK Vršovice. The club won the 1982–83 Czechoslovak First League, its only league championship. Its colours are green and white. The best known player from Bohemians' history is Antonín Panenka, who is now the club chairman. Bohemians' mascot is a kangaroo, the legacy of a 1927 tour of Australia. Following the tour, the club was awarded two live kangaroos, which they donated to the Prague Zoo. Jiří Štajner (born 27 May 1976) is a Czech former professional association football, footballer who played as an attacking midfielder or second striker. Eight years a player for Hannover 96, he is extremely popular with Hannover fans and is seen as a cult figure at the club. František Rajtoral (12 March 1986 – ca. 23 April 2017) was a Czech professional footballer who played as a right winger or right-back. He was best known for his stint at Viktoria Plzeň.
