2011–12 Derby County F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Derby County's 106th season in the Football League and their 113th overall in league football. It was their fourth consecutive season in the second tier following the previous campaign and their 44th overall. Derby started the season well, winning their first 4 league games in August, which was also club's best league start since the 1905–06 season. However, the club were knocked out of the first round of League Cup against League Two opposition for the third season in a row against Shrewsbury Town. Derby maintained their top 2 position in September, with the main highlight being a 2–1 win at local rivals Nottingham Forest, despite the fact that goalkeeper Frank Fielding gave away a penalty and was sent off after 67 seconds, Jeff Hendrick's winner in the game was his first goal in senior football. Derby ( ) is a city and unitary authority area in Derbyshire, England. It lies on the banks of the River Derwent in the south of Derbyshire, which is in the East Midlands Region. Football League Two
The English Football League Two (often referred to as League Two for short or Sky Bet League Two for sponsorship purposes, and known as the Football League Two from 2004 until 2016) is the third and lowest division of the English Football League (EFL) and fourth-highest division overall in the English football league system. Christopher Mark Riggott (born 1 September 1980) is an English former professional Association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. Christopher Patrick Joseph Maguire (born 16 January 1989) is a Scottish professional footballer. Nathan Tyson
Nathan Tyson (born 4 May 1982) is an English professional footballer who plays as a forward for Grantham Town. He represented the England under-20 team in February 2003. A pacey, left-footed forward, he began his career at Reading, where he made his first-team debut in April 2000. John Brayford
John Robert Brayford (born 29 December 1987) is an English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Burton Albion. Born in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, he began his career at Burton Albion, which was then a non-League club, before moves to Crewe Alexandra and Derby County preceded his time at Cardiff City.
