2011–12 Coupe De France Féminine
The 2011–12 Coupe de France Féminine was the 11th edition of the French cup competition for women. This was the inaugural edition of the competition under the name ''Coupe de France Féminine'', as for the past decade, it was played under the name ''Challenge de France''. The defending champions were Saint-Étienne who defeated Montpellier 3–2 on penalties in the 2010–11 edition of the final. The competition was organized by the French Football Federation and is open to all women's French football clubs in France. On 13 May 2012, Lyon earned its fourth Coupe de France Féminine title after defeating rivals Montpellier 2–1 in the final match, which was played at the Stade Jacques Rimbault in Bourges. Association Sportive de Saint-Étienne Loire (), commonly known as A.S.S.E. () or simply Saint-Étienne, is a professional association football, football club based in Saint-Étienne in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. ASPTT Albi (or Association Sportive de La Poste et France Télécom Albi) is a French women's football team based in Albi. The club reached Division 2 in 2000 for the first time in their history, however they were relegated the following season. After several seasons in the regional divisions of the Ligue de Midi-Pyrénées, the club was promoted again to Division 2 in 2007 after a rapid promotion from the third division. Sablé-sur-Sarthe (, literally ''Sablé on Sarthe''), commonly referred to as Sablé, is a commune in the Sarthe department, in the Pays de la Loire region, western France. It is about 50 km northeast of Angers. Population Geography The Vaige forms part of the commune's north-western border, flows southwards through the middle of the commune, then flows into the Sarthe River in the town of Sablé-sur-Sarthe. History French prime minister François Fillon was mayor of Sablé from 1983 to 2001, which therefore has a TGV station on the line from Paris-Nantes despite a relatively small population.
