Jason Bajada
Jason Bajada is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Montreal, Quebec. Bajada released two albums, ''Puer Dolor'' in 2005 and ''Up Go the Arms'' in 2006, before signing to Maple Music Recordings/Universal, with whom he released his label debut ''Loveshit'' in 2009. He followed up in 2011 with ''The Sound Your Life Makes'', which reached number 57 on the Canadian Albums Chart. In addition to his English material, Bajada has released two French albums. ''Feel It Break'' is the debut studio album by Canadian electronic music band Austra. It was released on May 13, 2011, by Domino. The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented its production and the vocals of lead singer Katie Stelmanis and compared the band to artists such as Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Fever Ray, Zola Jesus, and Depeche Mode. It was shortlisted for the 2011 Polaris Music Prize, and received a Juno Award nomination for Electronic Album of the Year. Austra (band)
Austra is a Canadian electronic music band from Toronto, founded in 2009 by composer, singer-songwriter, and producer Katie Stelmanis. Stelmanis is the only permanent member of the project, with a rotating live band that has included Maya Postepski (drums), Dorian Wolf (bass, Moog), and Ryan Wonsiak (keyboards). It previously also featured the twin backing singers Sari and Romy Lightman of Tasseomancy. ''Chart Attack'' was a Canadian online music publication. Formerly a monthly print magazine called ''Chart'', it was published from 1991 to 2009. While the web version appears to be available online, the domain is now used as a popular media outlet, similar to BuzzFeed, almost entirely excluding music. Arkells
Arkells is a Canadian rock band, formed in Hamilton, Ontario. In 2006, they signed with Dine Alone Records, and have since signed with Universal Records Canada and Last Gang Records. They are managed by Last Gang Management. They have released six albums, two EPs and a number of singles that have charted in Canada. The band has won multiple Juno Awards, including one for their album ''High Noon'' in 2015. The band headlined the 108th Grey Cup halftime show in Hamilton, Ontario on December 12, 2021. Adam And The Amethysts
Adam and the Amethysts was a Canadian indie rock band formed in Montreal in 2004. The band was fronted by Adam Waito, a former member of Miracle Fortress. The band released two albums and toured mostly around North America. History Waito was born in Manitouwadge, Ontario, raised in Thunder Bay, Ontario and moved to Montreal in the early 2000s. He co-founded Telefauna in 2004, an indie-pop band whose that played the Pop Montreal festival three times. They released ''Their 1st EP'' in 2005 and a single "Under the Underground Water" b/w "Bamboo Shoot" in 2007.
