The 2011 Wyoming Cowboys football team represented the University of Wyoming in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Cowboys were led by third year head coach Dave Christensen and played their home games at War Memorial Stadium. They are members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 8–5, 5–2 in Mountain West play to finish in third place. They were invited to the New Mexico Bowl where they lost to Temple. Dave Christensen
David John Christensen (born January 17, 1961) is a former American college football coach and player, who was most recently an assistant coach at Arizona State Sun Devils football, Arizona State. He previously worked as the offensive line coach and run-game coordinator for the Texas A&M Aggies football, Texas A&M Aggies. He previously served as the offensive coordinator for the Utah Utes Football, University of Utah. He was previously the head coach at the Wyoming Cowboys football, University of Wyoming from 2009 Wyoming Cowboys football team, 2009 to 2013 Wyoming Cowboys football team, 2013, where he compiled a record of 27 wins and 35 losses (). Falcon Stadium is an outdoor football stadium in the western United States, on the campus of the U.S. Air Force Academy near Colorado Springs, Colorado. It is the home field of the Air Force Falcons of the Mountain West Conference, and also holds the academy's graduation ceremonies each spring.
