2011 UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship Qualification
The 2011 UEFA European Under-21 Championship started with a qualifying competition which began on 27 March 2009 and finished on 13 October 2010. The final tournament was held in Denmark between 11–25 June 2011. The first stage of the qualifying competition was a group stage followed by play-offs. Each of the 10 group winners, as well as the four highest ranked second place teams, advanced to the play-off. The play-offs determined which seven nations joined Denmark in the final tournament. Marcel Gecov (born 1 January 1988) is a Czech former footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Gecov began his club career with Slavia Prague at the age of six. The young midfielder went through all the youth teams of Slavia. He was 17 years old when he was promoted to the A-team. Gecov did not get a chance to make his debut in the Gambrinus liga for Slavia. In January 2007, Gecov was sent to SK Kladno on loan for the rest of the season. Gecov made his debut in the Czech top flight in March 2007 against Tescoma Zlín. Tivoli, Aachen
The Old Tivoli in Aachen, Germany, was the stadium of Aachen's best known football team Alemannia Aachen until 2009. Overview In 1908, the city of Aachen leased the area of the old manor Tivoli to the club, named after the inn ''Gut Tivoli'' which was located there since the 19th century, in turn taking its name from the town of Tivoli in central Italy. The club later built a football ground there. In 1925 more land was added to the lease, and the construction of the stadium was started. Inaugurated on 3 June 1928 it had a capacity of 11,000. Benedikt Höwedes (born 29 February 1988) is a German former professional footballer who played as a defender. Jérôme Agyenim Boateng (born 3 September 1988) is a German professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for French Ligue 1 club Lyon.
