2011 UCF Knights Football Team
The 2011 UCF Knights football team represented the University of Central Florida in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Knights played in the East Division of Conference USA, and played their home games at Bright House Networks Stadium in Orlando, Florida. The Knights were led by head coach George O'Leary, who was in his eighth season with the team. They finished the season 5–7, 3–5 in C-USA play to finish in a tie for fourth place in the East Division. All games were broadcast live on the UCF- ISP Sports radio network. George O'Leary
George Joseph O'Leary (born August 17, 1946) is a former American football coach and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets from 1994 to 2001 and the UCF Knights from 2004 to 2015. He was hired in 2001 to be the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish but resigned after five days for lying on his resume. O'Leary was an assistant coach for the Minnesota Vikings of the National Football League (NFL) from 2002 to 2004, and an assistant coach for the Syracuse Orange and San Diego Chargers. During his twelve-year tenure with the Knights, O'Leary guided the team to the fourth-best turnaround in NCAA history (2005), and led UCF to one of the biggest upsets of the BCS era in the 2014 Fiesta Bowl. NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision
The NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly known as Division I-AA, is the second-highest level of college football in the United States, after the Football Bowl Subdivision. 2011 Charleston Southern Buccaneers Football Team
The 2011 Charleston Southern Buccaneers football team represented Charleston Southern University as a member of the Big South Conference during the 2011 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by ninth-year head coach Jay Mills, the Buccaneers compiled an overall record of 0–11 with a mark of 0–6 in conference play, placing last out of seven teams in the Big South. Breshad Perriman
Breshad Perriman (born September 10, 1993) is an American football wide receiver for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at UCF and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. He has also been a member of the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Chicago Bears. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Terrance Plummer
Terrance Plummer (born June 20, 1993) is an American football linebacker for the Orlando Guardians of the XFL. He played college football at the University of Central Florida. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Redskins in 2015. Early years Plummer attended Orange Park High School in Orange Park, Florida, where he played football for coach Danny Green at all three linebacker positions including at the inside position as a senior. Rannell Hall (born January 30, 1993) is an American football wide receiver and cornerback for the Arlington Renegades of the XFL. He played college football at UCF. Professional career Tampa Bay Buccaneers Hall signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent on May 5, 2015. He was waived on September 6, 2015 and signed to the practice squad. Quincy McDuffie (born September 24, 1990) is an American professional Canadian football wide receiver and return specialist who is currently a free agent. He was most recently a member of the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football for the UCF Knights of the University of Central Florida.
