2011 Turkish Cup Final
The 2011 Turkish Cup Final was the 49th final match of the Turkish Cup. The match took place on 11 May 2011, at Kadir Has Stadium in Kayseri. The match was played between 8 time winners Beşiktaş and first time finalists İstanbul B.B. The referee of the match was Yunus Yıldırım. Because of its current situation in the 2010–11 Süper Lig, Beşiktaş entered the final looking to secure a berth to 2011–12 UEFA Europa League next year as well as winning its 9th cup in team history. İstanbul B.B., which showed superiority towards Beşiktaş in the Süper Lig, played in the Turkish Cup final for the first time in their history. 2010–11 Turkish Cup
The 2010–11 Turkish Cup was the 49th edition of the annual tournament that determined the association football Süper Lig Turkish Cup ( tr, Türkiye Kupası) champion under the auspices of the Turkish Football Federation ( tr, Türkiye Futbol Federasyonu; TFF). Beşiktaş successfully defeated İstanbul B.B. in the final. This tournament was conducted under the UEFA Cup system having replaced at the 44th edition a standard knockout competition scheme. Beşiktaş advanced to the play-off round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League and qualified for the 2011 Turkish Super Cup. Trabzonspor were eliminated in the group stage. Atatürk Olympic Stadium
The Atatürk Olympic Stadium ( tr, Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadyumu, ) is a stadium in Istanbul, Turkey. Located in the western district of İkitelli, it is the largest-capacity stadium in the country. Mehmet Aurélio (born Marco Aurélio Brito dos Prazeres, 15 December 1977) is a Brazilian-born Turkish football coach and retired footballer, who played as a midfielder. He was most recently an assistant coach of Fenerbahçe. Club career The midfielder started his career in the country of his birth with Flamengo, where he made over 100 appearances, before joining Olaria. Manuel Henrique Tavares Fernandes (; born 5 February 1986) is a Portuguese footballer who plays for Iranian club Sepahan S.C. as a midfielder. Gökhan Ünal (born 23 July 1982) is a Turkish football manager and former player. He is the manager of the Turkish club Altınordu. İbrahim Akın (born 4 January 1984) is a Turkish former professional footballer who played as a left winger. He is a part of the management of Altay.
