2011 Tri-Cities Fever Season
The 2011 Tri-Cities Fever season is the team's seventh season as a professional indoor football franchise and third in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-two teams competing in the IFL for the 2011 season, the Kennewick, Washington-based Tri-Cities Fever are members of the Intense Conference. Under the leadership of head coach Adam Shackleford, the team plays their home games at the Toyota Center in Kennewick, Washington. The Fever lost to the Sioux Falls Storm 10-37 in the 2011 United Bowl. Toyota Center (Kennewick)
The Toyota Center is a multi-purpose arena in the northwest United States, located in Kennewick, Washington. Opened in 1988 as the Tri-Cities Coliseum, the arena's name was changed in 2004 to the Three Rivers Coliseum to match the Three Rivers Convention Center, which was built next door in the same year. In October 2005, a deal was reached between the city of Kennewick and Toyota, which agreed to pay $2 million over ten years for naming rights. The city uses the funds for needed improvements and upgrades to the facility. A smaller facility next door, built by the city in 1998, was named "Toyota Arena." In 2016, the Kennewick Public Facilities District will put to the voters an expansion of what is now known as the Three Rivers Complex. Omaha Beef
The Omaha Beef is an indoor football team and a charter member of the Champions Indoor Football (CIF) league. Based in Omaha, Nebraska, the Beef play their home games at Liberty First Credit Union Arena in nearby Ralston. History First 13 seasons Omaha originally played in the Indoor Professional Football League in 2000 and 2001 as an expansion team. The Beef made the playoffs their first and second seasons, advancing to the 2001 IPFL Championship. With the IPFL folding, the Beef moved to the National Indoor Football League (NIFL) on October 10, 2001. The Beef then joined the newly formed United Indoor Football (UIF) in 2005 as a charter member. In 2008, the UIF merged with the Intense Football League to create the Indoor Football League. The 2011 Indoor Football League season was the third season of the Indoor Football League (IFL). The regular season began on Saturday, February 19, 2011, with the Kickoff Classic game, and ended on Sunday, June 12, 2011. After three weeks of playoffs, and one week off, the playoffs ended with the 2011 United Bowl on July 16 where the Sioux Falls Storm defeated the Tri-Cities Fever 37-10. Tri-City Herald
The ''Tri-City Herald'' is a daily newspaper based in Kennewick, Washington, United States. Owned by The McClatchy Company, the newspaper serves southeastern Washington state, including the three cities of Kennewick, Pasco and Richland (which are collectively known as the Tri-Cities). The ''Herald'' also serves the smaller cities of Benton City, Connell, Prosser and West Richland. It is the only major English-language newspaper in Washington east of Yakima and south of Spokane, and includes local and national news, opinion columns, sports information, movie listings and comic strips among other features. Lionell Singleton (born November 13, 1985) is a former professional indoor football defensive back for the Alabama Vipers and the Tri-Cities Fever. He was signed by the Alabama Vipers as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Florida International. Dustin D. Bell (born April 18, 1987) is a former American football defensive back. He played collegiately for UTEP Miners at University of Texas at El Paso. Bell was considered a top shutdown corner coming out of Bakersfield Junior College. Early life Bell attended Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas, Texas, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He was All-District in all three sports. 2011 Allen Wranglers Season
The 2011 Allen Wranglers season was the team's twelfth season as a professional indoor football franchise, second in the Indoor Football League (IFL), and the first as the "Allen Wranglers". The team played their home games at the Allen Event Center in the Dallas suburb of Allen, Texas. The team finished with a 10-4 regular season and first place in the Lonestar Division. West Texas Roughnecks
The West Texas Roughnecks were a professional indoor football team based in Odessa, Texas that plays in the Lone Star Football League. The team's nickname was a tribute to the oil industry, which has been the source of Odessa's wealth over the past century. The team began operations in 2004 as the Odessa Roughnecks, a charter member of the Intense Football League (IFL). In 2005, the IFL merged with the NIFL. For the 2006 season, the IFL was resurrected, and the Odessa Roughnecks returned to their original league. The 2011 Colorado Ice season was the team's fifth season as a football franchise and third in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Founded for the 2007 season as part of United Indoor Football, the Colorado Ice became charter members of the IFL when the UIF merged with the Intense Football League before the 2009 season. One of 22 teams that competed in the IFL for the 2011 season, the Fort Collins-based Colorado Ice were members of the Mountain West Division of the Intense Conference. In their final season under original head coach Collins Sanders, the Colorado Ice played their home games at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland, Colorado.
