2011 Tour Du Haut Var
The 2011 Tour du Haut Var was the 43rd edition of the Tour du Haut Var cycling stage race. It was being held 19–20 February 2011 in the French department of the Var, and was rated as a 2.1 event on the UCI Europe Tour. Teams and cyclists There were 18 teams in the 2011 Tour du Haut Var. Among them were five UCI ProTeams, nine UCI Professional Continental teams, and four Continental teams. Each team was allowed eight riders on their squad, giving the event a peloton of 142 cyclists at its outset. Thomas Voeckler
Thomas Voeckler (; born 22 June 1979) is a French former road racing cyclist, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2017, for the team and its previous iterations. One of the most prominent French riders of his generation, Voeckler has been described as a "national hero", due to strong performances over several years in the Tour de France. Early life Born in Schiltigheim, Bas-Rhin, Voeckler has been a professional cyclist since 2001. He comes from the Alsace region of France but later moved to Martinique, where he was nicknamed ''"Ti-Blanc"'' (a contraction of ''petit blanc'', the literal translation of which is "little white") due to his small stature and pale complexion. Samuel Dumoulin
Samuel Dumoulin (born 20 August 1980) is a French former professional road bicycle racer, who rode professionally between 2002 and 2019 for the , and teams. He now works as a directeur sportif for UCI ProTeam . Career Dumoulin rode as an amateur for the TCCT (Tonic cyclo club of Ternay). He won the national youth championship in 1996, then the ''espoir'' (young professional) Paris–Tours and Paris-Auxerre in 2001. He dropped out of the 2004 Tour de France when he crashed after hitting a dog. Recovery took him four months and he did not race for the rest of the season. In 2008 he won the third stage after a breakaway of nearly , beating Will Frischkorn and Romain Feillu. Rémi Pauriol
Rémi Pauriol (born 4 April 1982 in Aix-en-Provence) is a French former professional road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 2006 and 2013. In 2007, he won his first professional contest, the French race Route Adélie. In 2011, he signed with the French squad before moving to in 2013. After the team folded at the end of the season, Pauriol retired in January 2014.
