The 2011 Swedish speedway season was the 2011 season of motorcycle speedway in Sweden. Individual Individual Championship The 2011 Swedish Individual Speedway Championship final was held at the G&B Stadium in Målilla on 17 September. Andreas Jonsson won the Swedish Championship for the fifth time. The 2010 Swedish speedway season was the 2010 season of motorcycle speedway in Sweden. Individual Individual Championship The 2010 Swedish Individual Championship final was held at the G&B Arena in Målilla, Kalmar County. The title was won by the defending champion Andreas Jonsson, who beat Freddie Lindgren, Magnus Zetterström and Thomas H. Jonasson in the final heat. The top three riders all rode in the 2010 Speedway Grand Prix. Mikael Max
Karl Mikael Karlsson (born 21 August 1973), who rides under the name Mikael Max, is an international motorcycle speedway rider who rode in the UK for the Wolverhampton Wolves in the Elite League. After first riding a speedway bike at the age of twelve, he moved up to 500cc bikes in 1989.Oakes, Peter (2004) ''British Speedway Who's Who'', , p. 150 He represented Sweden at under-21 level in 1990, and made his full debut for Sweden in 1991. He won the Swedish Under-21 Championship in 1992 and the World Under-21 Championship in 1994. He made his British speedway debut in 1993 for Wolverhampton Wolves, going on to ride for the club until 2005, only missing the 1995 and 2000 seasons. In 2006 he rode for the Arena Essex Hammers. Max is his mother's maiden name and he has raced as Mikael Max since 2003. His two brothers, Peter Karlsson and Magnus Karlsson, are both motorcycle speedway riders. Indianerna
Indianerna (the Indians) are a Swedish motorcycle speedway team based in Kumla, Sweden. The club's official name is Kumla MSK and it was founded in 1936 which makes the club one of the oldest motorsport clubs in Sweden. Indianerna was one of the seven teams that competed in Sweden's first speedway league in 1948. The team has won the Swedish Speedway Team Championship two times, in 1990 and 1991. Allsvenskan (speedway)
Allsvenskan (literally, "The National League") is the second tier in the league system of speedway in Sweden and currently comprises seven Swedish speedway teams. Until the introduction of the Elitserien in 1982 the Allsvenskan was the highest level of Swedish Speedway. Rospiggarna
Rospiggarna is a motorcycle speedway team based in Hallstavik, Sweden. The club was founded in 1930 and were named ''Orion'', although it did not compete in the Swedish speedway leagues until 1966. The club joined the Swedish Division Three in 1966 and the team name was changed to ''Stjärnorna'' (English: The Stars). In 1978 the name was changed again to Rospiggarna which is the demonym for people from Roslagen, where Hallstavik is situated. Rospiggarna have won four Elitserien (speedway), Elitserien Championships and has also been the home team of 4 former Speedway World Championship, World Champions, Tony Rickardsson, Per Jonsson, Greg Hancock and Jason Crump. In 2010 it was announced that the club voluntarily made the decision to drop down a division due to financial problems. Elitserien (literally, "The Elite Series") ( sv, Elitserien i speedway) is the highest league in the league system of speedway in Sweden and currently comprises the top 7 Swedish speedway teams. The first season began in 1982. The Swedish Speedway Team Championship is the team championship of speedway in Sweden. Season by season History The Championship was introduced in 1950. In 1982 the Championship was renamed with a new league called the Elitserien being introduced. previously the highest league had been known as the Allsvenskan but since 1982 it has been the second tier of Swedish speedway.
