2011 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup
The 2011 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup season was the fifth season of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. The season began at Circuito de Jerez on 2 April and ended on 3 September at the Misano World Circuit after 14 races. The races, contested by the riders on equal KTM machinery, were held at eight meetings on the Grand Prix motorcycle racing calendar. Calendar The season saw an expanded calendar, from six meetings up to eight meetings, adding events at Estoril for the first time since 2008, and Silverstone for the first time. Of the eight meetings, six were double-headers, with single races at Mugello and Misano. Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup
The Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup is a motorcycle racing series contested by young, up-and-coming motorcycle riders, who have not had experience in a motorcycle grand prix previously. The class was founded in 2007, and since then a number of the rookies have progressed through to the 125cc/Moto3 championship in MotoGP. Prior to the 2013 season, a 2-stroke KTM RC 125cc engine was used. The year 2013 saw a change of machinery to the 4-stroke KTM RC250RBR, following the introduction of the four-stroke Moto3 class. The Spaniard José Antonio Rueda was the first racer to win the Cup title and his first World Championship title in the same year (2022). TT Circuit Assen
The TT Circuit Assen is a motorsport race track built in 1955 and located in Assen, Netherlands. Host of the Dutch TT, it is popularly referred to as "The Cathedral" of motorcycling by the fans of the sport. Kyle Ryde (Kyle Brandon Ryde, born 22 July 1997) is an English motorcycle solo road racing, road racer. For 2022 he rode in BSB with OMG Racing, switching to Yamaha machinery as used in 2021 by the McAMS team. For 2023, Ryde continues with the same team and machinery – the first time in Superbikes that he has continued for a second season on the same machine. During 2021 he was contracted to OMG BMW in the British Superbike Championship (BSB), with a commitment to continue with the same team for 2022 using Yamaha R1 machines. Joe Roberts (born June 16, 1997) is an American professional motorcycle racer. Roberts competes in the FIM Moto2 World Championship with Italtrans Racing Team aboard a Kalex chassis bike. Career Early career Roberts' introduction to motorcycles was at a young age. He first rode a 50 cc motorcycle just shy of his 4th birthday. Roberts's earliest competition was in youth flat track and Supermoto. From there he transitioned to mini-road racing on kart tracks and then to full sized tracks on a Honda RS125. He competed successfully for two seasons in the USGPRU (United States Grand Prix Racer's Union) finishing 3rd in points in 125GP in 2010. The Masaryk circuit ( cz, Masarykův okruh) or Masarykring, also referred to as the Brno Circuit, refers to two motorsport race tracks located in Brno, Czech Republic. The Sachsenring () is a motorsport racing circuit located in Hohenstein-Ernstthal near Chemnitz in Saxony, Germany. Florian Alt (born 30 April 1996 in Gummersbach) is a German Grand Prix motorcycle racer. He currently competes in the Endurance FIM World Championship aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1. He was the 2012 Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup champion.
