The 2011 Reading Express season was the sixth season as a professional indoor football franchise and their first in the Indoor Football League (IFL). Sovereign Center
The Santander Arena (formerly known as the Sovereign Center) is a 7,160-seat multi-purpose arena, in Reading, Pennsylvania. It was built in 2001. The arena sits on the former site of the Astor Theater; one of several grand movie and theater palaces built in Reading in the early 20th century. Closed in 1975, the theater sat vacant for over two decades. In 1998, the Astor was demolished to make room for the Santander Arena. Early in construction, steps were taken to retain mementos of the Astor, including its ornate Art Deco chandelier and gates. These are on display and in use inside the arena corridors, allowing insight into the ambience of the former movie house. The Santander Arena is owned by the Berks County Convention Center Authority and managed by ASM Global. In 2000, the Rajah Shrine Theater was purchased, and after a thorough restoration and updating of the facilities was renamed the Sovereign Performing Arts Center. The Chicago Slaughter season was the team's fifth season as a professional indoor football franchise and second in the Indoor Football League (IFL). One of twenty-two teams competing in the IFL for the 2011 season, the Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based Chicago Slaughter were members of the Great Lakes Division of the United Conference. Under the leadership of owner Jim McMahon, and head coach Steve McMichael, the team played their home games at the Sears Centre in Hoffman Estates, Illinois. Clarence Curry (born December 7, 1981) is a former Arena football defensive specialist. He was originally signed by the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League. He played college football at Villanova. Curry also played for the Rhein Fire, Philadelphia Soul, Los Angeles Avengers, New Orleans VooDoo, Nashville Kats, and Mahoning Valley Thunder. High school years Curry attended Parsippany High School in Parsippany-Troy Hills, New Jersey where he was a letterman in football, basketball, and track. Collin William Taylor (born February 28, 1987) is an sim football wide receiver who is currently a member of the WFAs Green Bay Wolfpack. Taylor attended Carmel High School, in Carmel, Indiana. He played two years as a wide receiver. As a senior in 2004, he led the Greyhounds with 45 catches for 900 yards and 12 touchdowns, helping them to an 8-4 season. After his senior season, he moved on to Indiana University where he redshirted in 2005, played wide receiver from 2006 through 2008 and finished his career as a free safety in 2009. Resch Center
The Resch Center is a 10,200-seat multi-purpose arena, in Ashwaubenon, Wisconsin, United States built in 2002. It is the home of the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay Phoenix men's basketball team, the Green Bay Gamblers ice hockey team, and the Green Bay Blizzard indoor football team. The arena also hosts the annual high school girls' volleyball and girls' basketball tournaments for the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association under a long-term agreement. It was named for executive Dick Resch of a local office furniture company KI Industries, which holds the arena's naming rights. Arthur Ashe Athletic Center
The Arthur Ashe Athletic Center is a 6,000 seat multi-purpose arena in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1982. It hosts local sporting events and concerts. It is named after former tennis player and Richmond resident Arthur Ashe. The Ashe Center was the temporary home to the Richmond Revolution of the Indoor Football League for the 2010 season, with announced intention of moving to a permanent home at the currently under-construction SportsQuest arena the following season. The Arizona Adrenaline were a professional indoor American football team based in Prescott Valley, Arizona. They were members of the Mountain West division of the Intense Conference of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
