2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
The 2011 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain was the ninth season of the Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain series. The series again featured on the same package as the British Touring Car Championship, and as such benefited from live coverage at each round on ITV4 in the United Kingdom. 2011 will see the introduction of a new 911 GT3 Cup car, featuring more power, downforce and other technological changes. 2011 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was the 54th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. Cars conforming to the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specification were allowed to compete in the championship for the first time, in a phased transition from Super 2000 specification to the NGTC specification. The season was also the final time that cars built to the BTC Touring specification were allowed to compete, ending the specification's decade of competition in the BTCC. Team Dynamics' Matt Neal claimed his third BTCC title after finishing 8th in the final round of the season, two places ahead of teammate and rival Gordon Shedden, who was beaten to the title by eight points. Stephen Jelley (born 12 May 1982) is a British auto racing driver. Career Single-seaters Born in Leicester, Jelley moved up from Formula Ford to the National Class of the British Formula 3 Championship for 2004, taking three class wins. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Croft Circuit is a motor racing circuit located near Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England. The tarmac circuit is long and is based on the lands of an airfield, but has long since moved on from being a basic airfield circuit. Karl Rangikawhiti Leonard (born 1964) is a New Zealand carver and weaver of Te Arawa, Ngāti Awa and Ngati Raukawa descent. He was the first man elected to the committee of the national Māori weavers' collective, Te Roopu Raranga Whatu o Aotearoa. He learned weaving from his mother and grandmother. His grandmother was the noted weaver Ranginui Parewahawaha, who critiqued his first kete (basket) at the age of 112. He attributes his time as a weaver and guide at the Māori Arts and Crafts Institute in Rotorua as fundamental to his practice. Alexander Martin (born 21 April 1987) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship from 2015 - 2016. Racing career Martin began his career in the 2009 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain, he raced in the championship from 2009–2011 ending 7th in the Pro–Am 1 standings in 2011. Jonas Gelžinis (born 2 March 1988) is a Lithuanian racing driver. J.Gelžinis won Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro-Am1 class champion title in 2011. Juta Racing is an auto racing team based in Kaunas, Lithuania. Founded in 1988, the team currently racing in Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain. Ahmad Al Harthy (born 31 August 1981 in Muscat, Oman) is an Omani racing driver. He won the 2012 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain Pro-Am 1 Championship and in 2017 became the Blancpain Endurance Cup Pro-Am Champion along with British team-mate Jonny Adam.
