2011 Ovation Awards
The nominees for the 2011 Ovation Awards were announced on September 19, 2011, at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank, California. The awards were presented for excellence in stage productions in the Los Angeles area from September, 2010 to August, 2011 based upon evaluations from 250 members of the Los Angeles theater community. The winners were announced on November 14, 2011 in a ceremony at the Orpheum Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. The ceremony was hosted by actress Carolyn Hennesy. The Los Angeles Theatre Ensemble is a theatre troupe based in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 2004 by a group of actors, designers and directors including artistic director Tom Burmester. Sacred Fools Theater Company
The Sacred Fools Theater Company is a Los Angeles-based theatre company and nonprofit organization. Founded in January 1997, it's a member organization of the LA Stage Alliance. For 18 years the company resided at 660 N. Heliotrope in The Heliotrope Theatre. In January 2016 they moved to The Broadwater Studio, a multi-theater complex at 1078 Lillian Way, Los Angeles. Rogue Machine Theatre (RMT) is a Los Angeles based theatre company dedicated to the production of new plays and plays new to Los Angeles. The Kirk Douglas Theatre is a 317-seat theater located in Culver City, California. Since 2004, it has been operated by the Center Theatre Group.
