The Senate is the upper chamber of Nigeria's bicameral legislature, the National Assembly of Nigeria. Bayelsa State
Bayelsa is one of the states in the South-South region of Nigeria, located in the core of the Niger Delta region. Bayelsa State was created in 1996 and was carved out from Rivers State, making it one of the newest states in the federation. Yenagoa is the capital city of Bayelsa State with most parts to have fallen within the high-risk of floods, suspects to occur annually. It shares a boundary with Rivers State to the East and Delta State to the west, with the waters of the Atlantic Ocean dominating its southern borders. It has a total area of 10, 773 km2. Clever Marcus Ikisikpo is a Nigerian politician who served as a member of the Senate of Nigeria from May 2011 to 2015. He ran on the People's Democratic Party (PDP) platform representing Bayelsa East constituency, in Bayelsa State, Nigeria. Ikisikpo gained a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Port Harcourt. He was elected as a member of the Bayelsa House of Assembly, holding office from 1999 to 2003. Emmanuel Paulker (born 15 October 1955) is a Nigerian politician who was elected Senator for the Bayelsa Central constituency of Bayelsa State, Nigeria, taking office on 29 May 2007. He is a member of the UKIP. Biography Paulker attended Bishop Dimeari Grammar School where he earned his WASC in 1973. He obtained a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry from the University of Port Harcourt in 1983. A teacher by profession, he was appointed Bayelsa State Commissioner of Lands and Housing (1999-2001). The Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), formerly known as Action Congress (AC), was a Nigerian political party formed via the merger of a faction of Alliance for Democracy, the Justice Party, the Advance Congress of Democrats, and several other minor political parties in September 2006.
