2011 NRL Under-20s Season
The 2011 NRL Under-20s season was the fourth season of the National Rugby League's Under-20s competition. The competition, known commercially as the 2011 Toyota Cup due to sponsorship from Toyota, was solely for under-20s players. The draw and structure of the competition mirrored that of the 2011 NRL Telstra Premiership season. New Zealand Warriors
The New Zealand Warriors are a professional rugby league football club based in Auckland, New Zealand that competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership and is the League's only team from outside Australia. They were formed in 1995 as the Auckland Warriors, and are officially known as the One New Zealand Warriors for sponsorship reasons. The Warriors are coached by Andrew Webster and captained by Tohu Harris. The Warriors are based at Mount Smart Stadium in the Auckland suburb of Penrose. For the 1995 season the newly formed Auckland Warriors became the first club from outside Australia to be admitted to the Australian Rugby League's premiership when it expanded from 16 to 20 teams. As a result of the Super League war in the mid-1990s, Auckland left the ARL to compete in the Super League competition of 1997, before joining the re-unified NRL the following year. Omar Slaimankhel (born 4 March 1992) is a New Zealand former professional rugby footballer who last played rugby league for Western Suburbs in the Ron Massey Cup. Slaimankhel previously played in the National Rugby League for the New Zealand Warriors before switching to rugby union and playing for Japanese team, Canon Eagles. Early life Slaimankhel was born in Pakistan to Afghan refugees. When he was two years old his family moved to New Zealand. Slaimankhel grew up playing rugby union until he switched codes to join the New Zealand Warriors rugby league development side.
