2011 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship
The 2011 Men's NORCECA Volleyball Championship was the 22nd edition of the Men's Continental Volleyball Tournament, played from 29 August to 3 September 2011 in the Palacio de Recreación y Deportes in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. The winner qualified for the 2011 FIVB Men's World Cup, held in November in Japan. Keibel Gutiérrez Torna (born May 6, 1987) is a volleyball player from Cuba, who plays as a libero for the Men's National Team. Wilfredo León
Wilfredo León Venero (born 31 July 1993) is a Cuban–Polish professional volleyball player. He was a member of the Cuba national team from 2007 to 2012, and is a current member of the Poland national team and Sir Safety Perugia. A silver medallist at the 2010 World Championship, and a two–time NORCECA Champion (2009, 2011). Considered by many as one of a kind, he led Cuba to the silver medal at the 2010 World Championship held in Italy, alongside Yoandy Leal and Robertlandy Simon. He is considered one of the leaders of the "Generation of Miracle" of Cuban volleyball and by many experts. Wilfredo León is considered one of the best volleyball players worldwide. Dustin Schneider
Dustin Schneider (born 27 February 1985) is a Canadian retired professional volleyball player. He was the setter for the Canada men's national volleyball team for 9 years, helping the team win medals at the NORCECA Championship three separate times, as well as a bronze medal at the 2015 Pan American Games. Career Club Dustin began his post-secondary volleyball career with the University of Winnipeg Wesmen in 2004. He would go on to lead the team to a CIS championship in 2007, being named MVP along the way. In 2009, he began his professional career with Austrian club VCA Niederösterreic, before going on to play for several different European clubs throughout his career. David Lee (volleyball)
David Cameron Lee (born March 8, 1982) is an American volleyball player, currently working as the head coach for Indian Club, Bengaluru Torpedoes. As a member of the United States men's national volleyball team, he is an Olympic Champion at the 2008 Summer Olympics, an Olympic bronze medalist at the 2016 Summer Olympics, and a three-time Olympian (2008, 2012, 2016). A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. The NORCECA Men's Volleyball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national volleyball teams of North America, Central America and the Caribbean, organized by the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation ( NORCECA). The Atlantic Time Zone is a geographical region that keeps standard time—called Atlantic Standard Time (AST)—by subtracting four hours from Coordinated Universal Time ( UTC), resulting in UTC−04:00.
