2011 Linafoot
The 2011 Linafoot season was the 50th season of Top League Linafoot in DR Congo. Defending champions are AS Vita from Kinshasa. Seventeen teams entered the competition. TP Mazembe won the championship. Changes from 2010 A new format was introduced. In contrast to the previous season, the final round is made up of eight teams in one group. In 2010 eight teams were divided into two groups of four with the top two finishers advancing to yet another group stage. The winner of the group of 8 will be the champion. Preliminary round In the preliminary round 12 teams in three groups played a double round robin. The group winners advanced to the next round. SuperLeague (final round) In the final round the three teams from the preliminary round join the top four placed teams from last season and 2010 Cup winner DC Motema Pembe. Linafoot
The Vodacom Ligue 1 is the top division of the Congolese Association Football Federation, the governing body of football (soccer), football in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was created in 1958. In 2013, the highest attendance was set in the match DC Motema Pembe - AS Vita Club, which saw an attendance of 80,000 football fans at Stade des Martyrs. TP Mazembe is the most successful club with 19 titles. In 2010 the competition was renamed the ''Vodacom Super League'' following the signing of a five-year sponsorship deal with communications company Vodacom. Cercle Sportif Don Bosco de Lubumbashi or simply CS Don Bosco is a football club from DR Congo based in Lubumbashi. They play their home games at the 18,000 capacity Stade TP Mazembe. DC Motema Pembe
Daring Club Motema Pembe, or simply DCMP for a short, is a Congolese football club based in Kinshasa. History Created in 1936 under the name Falcon Daring, by the Rev. Father Raphaël de la Kethulle de Ryhove who was a missionary of the Congregation of Scheutistes. He recruited most of its players among college students Sainte-Anne in Kinshasa (currently Elikya college). The DCMP was renamed CS Imana in 1949 before assuming the name of Daring Club Motema Pembe Imana (Imana DCMP) in 1985. With 27 titles at national level since 1963, the DCMP is currently the most successful national club of the DRC. TP Mazembe has more trophies if you include international titles won with 35.
