2011 LET Access Series
The 2011 LET Access Series was a series of professional women's golf tournaments held from March through December 2011 across Europe. The LET Access Series is the second-tier women's professional golf tour in Europe and is the official developmental tour of the Ladies European Tour. Tournament results The table below shows the 2011 schedule. The numbers in brackets after the winners' names show the number of career wins they had on the LET Access Series up to and including that event. Order of Merit rankings The top two players on the LETAS Order of Merit earned membership for the 2012 Ladies European Tour. Players finishing in positions 3–20 got to skip the first stage of the qualifying event and automatically progress to the final stage of the Lalla Aicha Tour School. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Carlota Ciganda
Carlota Ciganda Machiñena (born 1 June 1990) is a professional golfer from Spain who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She won the LET's Order of Merit (money title) in her debut season in 2012, and was also named Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year. Early life and college career Born in Pamplona, Spain, Ciganda started to play golf aged five, influenced by her father. Her uncle is the former football player and coach José Ángel Ziganda. She attended college in the United States at Arizona State University from 2008 to 2011, where she majored in Business Administration. Ciganda speaks four languages. Amateur career Ciganda enjoyed a successful amateur career, winning the British Ladies Amateur in 2007. 2011 Ladies European Tour
The 2011 Ladies European Tour was a series of golf tournaments for elite female golfers from around the world which took place from February through December 2011. The tournaments were sanctioned by the Ladies European Tour (LET). The tour featured 24 official money events, as well as the Tenerife Ladies Match Play, the European Nations Cup and the Solheim Cup. Ai Miyazato won the Order of Merit with earnings of €363,080, despite only playing in two events. Caroline Hedwall won Rookie of the Year and Player of the Year honours, after finishing third in the Order of Merit and winning four events. Schedule The table below shows the 2011 schedule. Julie Tvede (born 21 May 1980) is a Danish professional golfer who played on the LPGA Futures Tour and the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Tvede was member of the Danish national team from 1998 to 2004.
