2011 Geelong Football Club Season
The 2011 Geelong Football Club season was the club's 112th season in the Australian Football League (AFL). Geelong finished the regular season in second position on the ladder with 19 wins and three losses, resulting in qualification for the 2011 AFL finals series. Geelong then proceeded to win its qualifying and preliminary finals in succession to earn a place in the 2011 AFL Grand Final, where it defeated the minor premiers to claim the AFL Premiership. The Geelong Football Club, nicknamed the Cats, is a professional Australian rules football club based in Geelong, Victoria, Australia. Cameron Guthrie
Cameron (Mr Worried) Guthrie (born 19 August 1992) is an Australian rules footballer for the Geelong Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). AFL career Guthrie was drafted with the 23rd selection in the 2010 AFL draft after playing for the Calder Cannons in the TAC Cup. He was allocated the No. 29 jumper, previously worn by Gary Ablett, Jr., who had left Geelong to become the new Gold Coast Football Club's inaugural captain. Nathan Djerrkura (born 19 September 1988) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played for the Geelong Football Club and the Western Bulldogs in the Australian Football League (AFL). Early life Nathan Djerrkura was born to Gatjil and Jenny Djerrkura in the indigenous community of Yirrkala, Northern Territory on 19 September 1988. His father, Gatjil, was a former Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) chairman before his death from a heart attack in May 2004.
