2011 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship
The 2011 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship was the 25th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship. 16 teams featured in the competition, which was held in the Czech Republic, from July 28 to August 7. Croatia won the title for the third time, and the second in a row. Mario Hezonja
Mario Hezonja (; born 25 February 1995) is a Croatian professional basketball player for Real Madrid of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He also represents the Croatian national team internationally. He was selected with the fifth overall pick in the 2015 NBA draft by the Orlando Magic. Junior career Hezonja was promoted to the club level in his native Croatia when he was 12 years old, and at the age of 13, he stayed for two seasons with Dubrovnik. In 2010, Hezonja signed a contract with Croatian club Zagreb. In 2011, he won the Nike International Junior Tournament with Zagreb. He was also named to the All-Tournament team, alongside teammate Dario Šarić. He was forced to sit out the 2011–12 season because of mononucleosis. Vassilis Charalampopoulos (alternate spellings: Vasileios, Vasilis, Basilis, Charalabopoulos) ( el, Βασίλης Χαραλαμπόπουλος; born January 6, 1997) is a Greek professional basketball player for Victoria Libertas Pesaro of the Italian Lega Basket Serie A (LBA). Georgios Diamantakos (alternate spellings: Giorgos, George) ( el, Γιώργος Διαμαντάκος; born January 14, 1995) is a Greek professional basketball player for Mykonosof the Greek A2 Basket League. He is a right-handed 7 ft. 1 in. (2.16 m) tall center. Professional career Diamantakos began his pro career in Greece in 2012, when he played in the Greek League with Panathinaikos, in a game against Peristeri. Ilimane Diop Gaye (born 4 April 1995) is a professional basketball player for UCAM Murcia in the Liga ACB. Although he was born in Senegal, Diop officially represents Spain when being on international duty since he was a baby when his family settled in Spain. Michail Liapis (alternate spelling: Michalis) ( el, Μιχάλης Λιάπης; born 11 March 1995) is a Greek professional basketball player for Iraklis of the Greek A2 Basket League. He is a 1.92 m (6'3¾") tall shooting guard.
