2011 FIA GT1 Ordos Round
The 2011 FIA GT1 Ordos round was an auto racing event held at the Ordos International Circuit, Ordos City, China on 2–4 September, and was the eighth round of the 2011 FIA GT1 World Championship season. It was the FIA GT1 World Championship's first race held in China, as well as at the Ordos. The event was supported by Formula Pilota, and the overall event was held under the title of the ''Kangbashi Cup''. Background This was the home round of Exim Bank Team China who ran two Corvettes for the first time this season with four all new drivers including Chinese racer Ho-Pin Tung. DKR Engineering replaced their single Corvette with two Lamborghini's for this round and also with four new drivers. Jonathan Hirschi replaced Vanina Ickx in the No. 9 Belgian Racing Ford GT alongside regular Christoffer Nygaard. Maxime Martin (born 20 March 1986) is a Belgian professional racing driver and son of four-time Spa 24 Hours winner Jean-Michel Martin. He currently is an Aston Martin Racing driver for which he competed in the FIA World Endurance Championship between 2018 and 2020. Martin had been a BMW factory driver since 2013, racing full-time in the American Le Mans Series for BMW Team RLL that season, as well as acting as BMW's DTM test and reserve driver. Tomáš Enge (; born 11 September 1976) is a Czech former professional racing driver who has competed in many classes of motorsport, including three races in Formula One. He has twice been sanctioned professionally for drug offences. Markus Winkelhock
Markus Winkelhock (born 13 June 1980) is a German professional racing driver. He is the son of Manfred Winkelhock and nephew of Joachim Winkelhock, both of whom were Formula One drivers in the 1980s. Marc Basseng (born 12 December 1978 in Engelskirchen) is a German racing driver. Career Basseng began his career in karting. In 1997 he began competing in the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany for the UPS Porsche Junior Team, finishing third in the 1998 standings.
