2011 European Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The 4th Individual European Artistic Gymnastics Championships for both Men and Women was held in Berlin, Germany from 4 April 2011 until 10 April 2011. The event was held at the Max-Schmeling-Halle. 157 male gymnasts from 39 countries with and 86 female gymnasts from 32 countries participated. Eleftherios Petrounias
Eleftherios "Lefteris" Petrounias ( gr, Ελευθέριος "Λευτέρης" Πετρούνιας; born 30 November 1990, Athens) is a Greek artistic gymnast. He is the 2016 Olympic champion, 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, three-time World champion (2015, 2017, 2018) and a six-time (2011, 2015–18, 2021, 2022) European medalist on the still rings (six gold and one bronze). He was named the Greek Male Athlete of the Year, for the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018. Early life and education Petrounias grew up as a hyperactive child, and at the age of five, his mother brought him to the Panionios Gymnastics Club so that he could release his energy. Aleksandr Sergeyevich Balandin (russian: Александр Сергеевич Баландин, born 20 June 1989) is a retired Russian gymnast. He is known for his work on the rings and has three skills named after him on this apparatus. He placed fourth in the rings at the 2012 Olympics. Career He is known for his three skills – Balandin 1, Balandin 2 and Balandin 3. Balandin 1 is "From hang vertical pull up with straight arms to maltese cross". Cyril Tommasone (born 4 July 1987 in Villeurbanne) is a French artistic gymnast. His strongest apparatus is the pommel horse and parallel bars. He is tall and weighs . Career He started gymnastics at age 7 and trains at the Convention Gymnique de Lyon with Yann Cucherat, under coach, Anatoly Vorontsov. Krisztián Berki
Krisztián Berki (; born 18 March 1985 in Budapest) is a Hungarian artistic gymnast. He is a pommel horse specialist. In 2016 a pommel horse element of difficulty level 'E' was named after him. Sports career He is the 2012 Olympic Champion, the 2010, 2011, and 2014 World Champion, and the 2007 and 2009 World silver medalist. Daniel Scott Purvis (born 13 November 1990 in Crosby, England) is a Scottish former international elite artistic gymnast, and three-time British all-around champion in men's artistic gymnastics. He trained at Southport YMCA and was coached by Jeff Brookes and Andrei Popov. He was part of the first British men's team to win a medal at a World Championships in 2015.
