2011 Constellation Cup
The 2011 Constellation Cup was the 2nd Constellation Cup series played between Australia national netball team, Australia and New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand. The series featured five Test match (netball), netball test matches. The series was effectively two separate series played before and after the 2011 World Netball Championships. In June 2011, Australia traveled to New Zealand for the New World Series. The Australia team was coached by Norma Plummer and List of Australia national netball team captains, captained by Natalie von Bertouch. New Zealand were coached by Ruth Aitken and captained by Temepara George and Casey Williams. Australia won the opening test before New Zealand leveled the series at 1–1. Waimarama Taumaunu
Waimarama Taumaunu (born 18 October 1962), often known as Wai Taumaunu, is a New Zealand netball coach and former international netball player. Biography Taumaunu was born in Waipawa, New Zealand. She was a member of New Zealand's national netball team, the Silver Ferns, from 1981 to 1991. During that time, she played in the team that won the 1987 Netball World Championships, and was also captain of the team in the last three years of her international career. In 1998, Taumaunu was appointed as national performance director for All England Netball, and remained in that role until 2003. During that time she was also the assistant coach for the England national team in their 2003 Netball World Championships campaign. In 2007, Taumaunu was the head coach of the Capital Shakers in the National Bank Cup. Mo'onia Gerrard
Mo'onia Frances Gerrard (born 15 November 1980 in Bathurst, Australia) is a former Australian netball player of Tongan descent. Her netball career commenced at a very young age; she would often participate in training sessions of her mother's senior Dee Why Beach Netball Club team. When she was old enough to register in a team, Gerrard commenced playing with Narrabeen Youth Club and was later selected to represent Manly Warringah Netball Association at State Age, State Championships and State League. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Gerrard is a current member of the Australian national team, and from 2011 is playing for the New South Wales Swifts in the ANZ Championship. She is the sister of Australian rugby union player Mark Gerrard. Queensland Firebirds
Queensland Firebirds are an Australian netball team based in Brisbane, Queensland. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they played in the ANZ Championship and between 1997 and 2007, they played in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. Firebirds were the most successful team during the ANZ Championship era, playing in five grand finals and winning three premierships, in 2011, 2015 and 2016. Laura Geitz
Laura Geitz (born 4 November 1987) is a former Australian netball player and former captain of the Australian national team. Geitz was selected for the 2008 Australian national team, and has won a silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, a gold medal at the 2011 World Netball Championships and a gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games as captain. In domestic netball, Geitz plays for the Queensland Firebirds in the ANZ Championship. She previously captained the AIS Canberra Darters in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy. Susan Fuhrmann
Susan Elizabeth Fuhrmann (born 30 July 1986), known as "the Fuhrmannator", is an Australian retired international netball player. Early life Susan Fuhrmann was born and raised in Katoomba, New South Wales until her parents moved to Perth when she was five-years old. She was an Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder. Fuhrmann debuted for the Australian national team in 2006, and was also a member of the Australian team that won silver at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and gold at the 2011 Netball World Championships. West Coast Fever
West Coast Fever is an Australian netball team based in Perth, Western Australia. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2008 and 2016, they competed in the ANZ Championship. Between 1997 and 2007, as Perth Orioles, they competed in the Commonwealth Bank Trophy league. During the ANZ Championship era, Fever were the only Australian team not to win a title, play in a grand final or feature in a finals series. Julie Corletto
Julie Corletto ( née Prendergast; born 10 October 1986) is an Australian international netball player. She played for the Australian Diamonds and NSW Swifts but has now retired. She usually played in the positions of goal defence and wing defence. Corletto is the younger sister of former AFL footballer Ian Prendergast. Career Corletto started playing netball at aged 10 in her home town of Kerang. She made her Commonwealth Bank Trophy debut at the age of 16 for the Melbourne Phoenix, where her style of defence saw her named Netball Australia's best new talent. She was selected in the Australian open squad at the age of 17. Rebecca Bulley
Rebecca Bulley (born 18 August 1982), also known as Rebecca Strachan, is a former Australia netball international. Between 2008 and 2015 she made 42 senior appearances for Australia. Bulley was a member of the Australia teams that won the gold medal at the 2015 Netball World Cup and the silver medal at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. Madison Browne
Madison “Madi” Browne (born 5 January 1988) is an Australian netball player who has been one of the most successful Australian Netball players to play in the British Netball Superleague for Leeds Rhinos Netball. Early life Madison Browne played for South Barwon Football and Netball Club when she was younger. Her sister Kelsey also played in A grade for South Barwon before joining Madison at the Magpies Netball in the Suncorp Super Netball league. Their father Mark played Australian rules football for Geelong in the 1970s.
