2011 Colorado Buffaloes Football Team
The 2011 Colorado Buffaloes football team represented the University of Colorado at Boulder in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. Led by first-year head coach and alumnus Jon Embree, the Buffaloes played their home games on-campus at Folsom Field in Boulder and were first-year members of the newly expanded Pac-12 Conference. They finished with a record of 3–10, 2–7 in Pac-12 play, in a tie for last place in the South Division. Jon Embree
Jon William Embree (born October 15, 1965) is an American football coach and former player who is the Assistant Head coach & tight ends coach for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He is a former head coach at Colorado. Prior to that, he was the tight ends coach for the Washington Redskins of the National Football League. As a player, he spent two seasons in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams as a tight end until an injury ended his career. He was selected in the sixth round of the 1987 NFL Draft (166th overall) by the Rams, after playing college football at Colorado. Embree previously coached for three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, three with UCLA, one with the Cleveland Browns and ten at Colorado. After his playing career ended, Embree entered television broadcasting, then was asked to volunteer coach in 1991 for the Buffaloes by head coach Bill McCartney. Aloha Stadium is a closed multi-purpose stadium located in Halawa, Hawaii, a western suburb of Honolulu (though with a Honolulu address). 2011 Hawaii Warriors Football Team
The 2011 Hawaii Warriors football team represented the University of Hawaii at Manoa in the 2011 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Warriors were led by fourth-year head coach Greg McMackin and played their home games at Aloha Stadium. They were members of the Western Athletic Conference. They finished the season 6–7, and 3–4 in WAC play to finish in a three-way tie for fourth place. Head coach Greg McMackin resigned at the end of the season due to mounting backlash from boosters and fans. This was the Warriors last year as a member of the WAC as their football program joined the Mountain West Conference for the 2012 season. Florence High School (Arizona)
Florence High School is the high school for the town of Florence, Arizona. It is administered by the Florence Unified School District. History Its current front building opened in 1916. It was designed by Lescher & Kibbey, Phoenix architects who "dominated the design of educational buildings in Arizona". The Neoclassical Revival structure incorporates elements of the Spanish Revival style popular in the region. A one-story design was chosen, as many students would have traveled several miles on foot or on horseback. The building's orientation helped to keep temperature in the rooms, cooling in the summer and heating in the winter. Punahou School (known as Oahu College until 1934) is a private, co-educational, college preparatory school in Honolulu, Hawaii. Westlake High School (also known as Westlake High, Westlake, or WHS) is a public high school in the Westlake neighborhood of Thousand Oaks, in Ventura County, California. Westlake High School serves grades 9–12 in the Conejo Valley Unified School District. Middle schools that feed into Westlake include Colina Middle School and Los Cerritos Middle School. Nelson Gregory Spruce (born December 5, 1992) is an American football wide receiver who is a free agent. He played college football at Colorado. Early years Spruce attended Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks, California. He was rated a three-star recruit by both Rivals.com and ESPN.com and committed to play college football at Colorado. College career After redshirting his freshman season, Spruce led the Colorado Buffaloes in receptions (44) and receiving yards (446) his freshman season and proceeded to rack up 55 catches for 650 receiving yards his sophomore season.
