Portland Timbers
The Portland Timbers are an American professional men's soccer club based in Portland, Oregon. The Timbers compete in Major League Soccer (MLS) as a member club of the league's Western Conference. The Timbers have played their home games at Providence Park since 2011, when the team began play as an expansion team in the league. The club was founded in 2009, when the city of Portland was awarded an expansion berth to Major League Soccer. The team operating rights are owned by Peregrine Sports under the majority ownership of Merritt Paulson, whose companies had acquired the then-USL Pro team in 2007 and later established the Portland Thorns women's team in 2012 (all MLS franchises are centrally owned by the league itself, which grants operating rights and privileges to the individual club "owners," who are also shareholders in MLS). Sebastián Grazzini
Sebastián Hugo Grazzini (born 25 January 1981) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Career Grazzini has played for a number of clubs in Argentina, Spain, Belgium, Venezuela and Italy. He began his career in the youth ranks of Central Córdoba. He impressed while with Central Córdoba and was signed by Spain's Sevilla FC, playing with the club's reserve side Sevilla Atlético. He then went on to play for Virton in Belgium before returning to Central Córdoba the following season. Mike Banner (born October 20, 1984) is an American former professional soccer player who is currently retired. Career College Born in Washington, D.C., Banner attended Gonzaga College High School and began his collegiate soccer career at Georgetown University in 2002. He played in 18 matches during his freshman season for the Hoyas, starting 13 games, but transferred to Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville the following season. Jalil Anibaba (; born October 19, 1988) is an American former professional soccer player who last played in Major League Soccer for Columbus Crew. He is currently a club ambassador for Nashville SC. Cory Gibbs (born January 14, 1980) is an American former soccer player. He played professionally for clubs in Germany, the Netherlands and England. He also played 19 international matches for the U.S. national soccer team, including at the 2003 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Career College and amateur Gibbs was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Kwame Watson-Siriboe (born November 13, 1986), is an American retired soccer player. Career College and Amateur Watson-Siriboe attended Canyon High School and played club soccer with the Pateadores Soccer Club before playing college soccer at the University of Connecticut. Jon Conway (born May 6, 1977) is an American retired soccer goalkeeper and current goalkeeping coach for Toronto FC.
