2011 Categoría Primera A Season
The 2011 Categoría Primera A season (officially known at the 2011 Liga Postobón season for sponsorship reasons) is the 64th season of Colombia's top-flight football league. Format The format for both the Apertura and Finalización will have an identical format. Each championship will be divided into four stages. The First Stage will be contested on a home-and-away basis, with each team playing the other teams once and playing a regional rival once more. The top 8 teams after 18 rounds will advance to the quarterfinals. In the quarterfinals, the teams will be matched-up with another team into four different ties. The ties will be contested over two legs on a home-and-away basis. The winner of each tie will advance to the semifinals. The semifinals and the finals will have the same format as the quarterfinals. The Categoría Primera A (), commonly referred to as Liga BetPlay Dimayor (between 2015 and 2019 ''Liga Águila'') due to sponsorship by online betting company BetPlay, is a Colombian professional league for association football clubs. It is the country's premier football tournament and sits at the top of the Colombian football league system. A total of twenty clubs compete in the league's regular season. ''División Mayor del Fútbol Profesional Colombiano'', better known as DIMAYOR, operates the league system of promotion and relegation for both Categoría Primera A and Categoría Primera B leagues. Atlético Nacional S. A., best known as Atlético Nacional, is a Colombian professional football club based in Medellín. Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero
The Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero is a football stadium, also used for athletics, concerts, and rugby sevens, in Santiago de Cali, Colombia which is named to honor the poet Pascual Guerrero. The stadium and the sports complex that surrounds it are one of the finest and most modern sports complexes in Latin America, and led to references of Cali as the "Sports Capital of America". Itagüí () is a city of Colombia, located in the south of the Aburrá Valley in the Antioquia Department. It is part of The Metropolitan Area of the Aburrá Valley.
