Cortes Of Castile And Leテウn
The Cortes of Castile and Leテウn (Spanish: ''Cortes de Castilla y Leテウn'') is the elected unicameral legislature of the Autonomous Community of Castile and Leテウn. The tradition of the regional Cortes is traced back to the Royal Council (Latin: '' Curia Regis'') of Leテウn (1188). The ''Curia Regis'' was a king's summons of the estates of the realm. Although the practical outcome of the Curia Regis of 1188 is still disputed, its charter seems to be an early move towards the rule of constitutional law, much like ''Magna Carta''. The Cortes of Castile and Leテウn is seated in the city of Valladolid. Union, Progress And Democracy
Union, Progress and Democracy ( es, link=no, Uniテウn, Progreso y Democracia , UPyD ) was a Spanish political party founded in September 2007 and dissolved in December 2020. It was a social-liberal party that rejected any form of nationalism, especially the separatist Basque and Catalan movements. The party was deeply pro-European and wanted the European Union to adopt a federal system without overlap between the European, national and regional governments. It also wanted to replace the State of Autonomies with a much more centralist, albeit still politically decentralized, unitary system as well as substituting a more proportional election law for the current one. UPyD first stood for election in the 9 March 2008 general election. It received 303,246 votes, or 1.2 percent of the national total, and one seat in the Congress of Deputies
