2011 CARIFTA Games
The 40th CARIFTA Games was held at the Montego Bay Sports Complex in Montego Bay, Jamaica, on April 23–25, 2011. Initially, the games should be hosted for the second time after 2007 by Saint Kitts and Nevis, but they declared to be unable to stage the games because of financial issues. The games could have been cancelled for the first time in its history, but Jamaica finally agreed to host the games at short notice. Detailed reports on the results were given. Records A total of 8 new games records were set. ;Key: Austin Sealy Award The Austin Sealy Trophy for the most outstanding athlete of the games was awarded to Anthonique Strachan of the Bahamas. Montego Bay, Jamaica

O'Jay Ferguson
O'Jay Ferguson (born 17 October 1993) is a Jamaican born Bahamian sprinter . He attended Western Texas College in Snyder, Texas. On 24 March 2012, Ferguson ran a personal best 46.14 sec 400 metres at the UTEP Springtime Invitational in El Paso, Texas, which would have improved the Bahamian national junior record set by Troy McIntosh in 1992, if it wasn't for Ferguson's unclear citizenship status. , Ferguson's time ranks fourth in the world among juniors, behind only Aldrich Bailey, Steven Solomon, and Luguelín Santos. 400 Metres
The 400 metres, or 400-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field competitions. It has been featured in the athletics (sport), athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. On a standard outdoor running track, it is one lap around the track. Runners start in staggered positions and race in separate lanes for the entire course. Odail Todd (born 9 June 1994) is a Jamaican sprinter. In 2011 he attended Green Island High in Hanover, Jamaica. He won the 100 metres at the 2011 World Youth Championships in Athletics in Lille Métropole, France. Todd was only drafted into the event after both 2011 World Youth leader Jazeel Murphy and 2010 Youth Olympic 100 m champion Odean Skeen were forced to withdraw due to injury. Delano Williams
Delano Williams (born 23 December 1993) is a British sprinter, originally from the British Overseas Territory of the Turks and Caicos Islands. In June 2013, it was confirmed that Williams would henceforth compete for Great Britain, as was his right by dint of the right to British citizenship of Turks and Caicos Islanders. Williams trains with the Racers Track Club in Jamaica. Career He attended Munro College in St Elizabeth, Jamaica. 200 Metres
The 200 metres, or 200-meter dash, is a sprint running event. On an outdoor 400 metre racetrack, the race begins on the curve and ends on the home straight, so a combination of techniques is needed to successfully run the race. A slightly shorter race, called the '' stadion'' and run on a straight track, was the first recorded event at the ancient Olympic Games. The 200 m places more emphasis on speed endurance than shorter sprint distances as athletes predominantly rely on anaerobic energy system during the 200 m sprint. Similarly to other sprint distances, the 200 m begins from the starting blocks. Shavez Hart (6 September 1992 – 3 September 2022) was a Bahamian track and field sprinter from Coopers Town Abaco Islands, who mainly competed in the 100 metres and 200 metres. His 100 metres personal best of 10.10 seconds makes him the third fastest Bahamian of all time behind Derrick Atkins, and second fastest Bahamian-born sprinter. His 200 metres personal best of 20.23 makes him the fourth fastest Bahamian of all time. He was a graduate of St. Georges High School in Freeport, Bahamas. Kemar Bailey-Cole
Kemar Bailey-Cole (born 10 January 1992) is a male track and field athlete from Jamaica, who mainly competes in the 100m. He is the 2014 Commonwealth Games 100 metres champion. Career He qualified for the 2012 Summer Olympics running a personal best 10.00 sec at the Jamaican Olympic trials over 100m coming 5th earning him a spot on the 4×100 relay for Jamaica at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
