2011 Brussels Ladies Open
The 2011 Brussels Open (also known as the Brussels Open by GDF Suez for sponsor reasons), was a women's tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was the first edition of the Brussels Open, and was part of the Premier-level tournaments of the 2011 WTA Tour. The event took place at the Royal Primerose Tennis Club in Brussels, Belgium, from 14 May until 21 May 2011. First-seeded Caroline Wozniacki won the singles title. Jelena Janković ( sr-Cyrl, Јелена Јанковић, ; born 28 February 1985) is a Serbian former tennis player. A former world No. 1, Janković reached the top ranking before her career-best major performance, a runner-up finish at the 2008 US Open. Irina Falconi ( es, Falconí; born May 4, 1990) is an Ecuadorian-born American former tennis player. She moved to Manhattan, New York, as a toddler. Alison Van Uytvanck (; born 26 March 1994) is a Belgian professional tennis player. An-Sophie Mestach (born 7 March 1994) is a Belgian retired tennis player. In her career, Mestach won two doubles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as six singles titles and eight doubles titles on the ITF Circuit.
