The 2011 Alabama Crimson Tide softball team is an American softball team, representing the University of Alabama for the 2011 NCAA softball season. The Alabama Crimson Tide softball, Crimson Tide plays its home games at Rhoads Stadium. The 2011 made the postseason for the 13th straight year, and the Women's College World Series for seventh time after failing to make it in 2010 Alabama Crimson Tide softball season, 2010. Patrick Murphy (softball)
Patrick Stacy Murphy (born November 28, 1965) is an American softball coach and the current head coach of the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team. He was inducted into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame on May 7, 2022the first softball coach to be so honored. Early life and education Murphy was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and raised in nearby Fayette. Murphy graduated from Fayette High School and completed his B.S. in history education at the University of Northern Iowa in 1988. Coaching career Early coaching career While attending Northern Iowa, Murphy coached Little League baseball. After graduating from college, Murphy became varsity baseball coach at Sumner High School in Sumner, Iowa, leading the team to a 22–3 record in his first season of 1989 and the state championship game in 1990. Amanda Locke
Amanda Locke is an American, former collegiate All-American softball player and current coach at Birmingham–Southern College. Playing career She attended North Mesquite High School, graduating in 2008. She later attended the University of Alabama, where she played first base and pitcher on the Alabama Crimson Tide softball team. Following her freshman year, she was named SEC Freshman of the Year. During her senior season in 2012, Locke was named a second team All-American, as she led the Crimson Tide to the 2012 Women's College World Series final, where they defeated Oklahoma 2–1 in the champ series, to claim Alabama's and the Southeastern Conference's first NCAA softball title. The UAB Blazers are the varsity intercollegiate athletic programs that represent the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). The UTSA Roadrunners is a collegiate athletic program that represents the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). The Louisville Cardinals (also known as the Cards) are the NCAA athletic teams representing the University of Louisville. Troy Trojans
The Troy Trojans are the sports teams of Troy University. They began playing in the NCAA's Division I-A in 2001, became a football only member of the Sun Belt Conference in 2004, and joined that conference for all other sports in 2005. The Jacksonville State Gamecocks are the intercollegiate athletic teams of Jacksonville State University (JSU) located in Jacksonville, Alabama, United States.
