Scottish Second Division
The Scottish Football League Second Division was the third tier of the Scottish football league system between 1975 and 2013. History The Second Division was created in 1975, as part of a wider reconstruction of the Scottish Football League (SFL). Prior to 1975, the SFL had been split into two divisions (Division One and Division Two). The effect of the reconstruction was to split these two divisions into three, with the top flight named the Premier Division, second tier the First Division, and a new third tier was created known as the Second Division. Gordon Smith (born 14 February 1991) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a striker for National Premier Leagues Western Australia side ECU Joondalup. Smith has previously played for Scottish clubs Livingston, Hearts, Raith Rovers, Stirling Albion and Dumbarton, as well as having loan spells with Hamilton Academical and Cowdenbeath. Colin McMenamin (born 12 February 1981) is a Scottish former professional football player, and is the current assistant manager of Annan Athletic. Andrew Robert Kirk (born 29 May 1979) is a Northern Irish former professional footballer and the current manager of Brechin City, in the Highland League. Fife Derby
The Fife derby is a football rivalry that is based in Fife, Scotland. Matches are contested between any two SPFL clubs from Dunfermline Athletic, Raith Rovers (based in Kirkcaldy), East Fife (representing the Levenmouth area) and Cowdenbeath. As of 2021, a fifth Fife side, Kelty Hearts, entered the SPFL. 2011–12 Scottish Premier League
The 2011–12 Scottish Premier League was the fourteenth season of the Scottish Premier League, the highest division of Scottish football, since its inception in 1998. The season started on 23 July 2011 and ended on 13 May 2012. A total of twelve teams contested the league: eleven sides that competed in the 2010–11 SPL and one club promoted from the First Division.
