2010–11 PlusLiga
The 2010–11 PlusLiga was the 75th season of the Polish Volleyball Championship, the 11th season as a professional league organized by the Professional Volleyball League SA ( pl, Profesjonalna Liga Piłki Siatkowej SA) under the supervision of the Polish Volleyball Federation ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Siatkowej). PGE Skra Bełchatów won their 7th title of the Polish Champions. PlusLiga
The PlusLiga is the highest level of men's volleyball in Poland, a professional league competition featuring volleyball clubs located in this country. It is overseen by Polska Liga Siatkówki SA (PLS SA). It is currently a 16 teams league from October to April/May. The regular season is followed by playoffs, with the winner earning the Polish Championship ( pl, Mistrzostwo Polski). It is one of the best volleyball leagues in Europe, being highly ranked in the international competitions. 2011–12 CEV Challenge Cup
The 2011–12 CEV Challenge Cup was the 32nd edition of the European Challenge Cup volleyball club tournament, the former CEV Cup. The final of 2011–12 CEV Challenge Cup became Polish derby, because of Tytan AZS Częstochowa and AZS Politechnika Warszawska meetings. Tytan AZS Częstochowa won the first match and lost the next one after tie-break, but their victory was decided by the golden set. 2011–12 CEV Champions League
The 2011–12 CEV Champions League was the 53rd edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams League round 24 teams were drawn to 6 pools of 4 teams each. The 1st – 2nd ranked qualified for the Playoffs 12. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball.
