2010–11 Oregon Ducks Men's Basketball Team
The 2010–11 Oregon Ducks men's basketball team represented the University of Oregon during the 2010–11 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ducks, led by first year head coach Dana Altman, played the first part of their home games at McArthur Court until the completion of their new stadium, Matthew Knight Arena, in January. They are members of the Pacific-10 Conference. They finished the season 21–18, 7–11 in Pac-10 play and lost in the semifinals of the 2011 Pacific-10 Conference men's basketball tournament to Washington. They were invited to and were champions of the 2011 College Basketball Invitational, defeating Creighton in the best-of-three games finals 2–1. Dana Altman
Dana Dean Altman (born June 16, 1958) is an American college basketball coach who is the head coach of the Oregon Ducks men's basketball, Oregon Ducks men's team. Previously he was head coach at Creighton Bluejays men's basketball, Creighton, Kansas State Wildcats men's basketball, Kansas State and Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball, Marshall. Altman has won conference coach of the year awards at each school he has coached, and has led his teams to 15 appearances in the NCAA Men's Division I Basketball Championship, NCAA tournament. Huntsville is a city in Madison County, Limestone County, and Morgan County, Alabama, United States. It is the county seat of Madison County. Charles Jay-R Strowbridge II (born February 19, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for Venados de Mazatlán of the Circuito de Baloncesto de la Costa del Pacífico (CIBACOPA). He played college basketball for Nebraska, Jacksonville State, and Oregon before playing professionally. Strowbridge attended Sparkman High School in Huntsville, Alabama, where he received all-state honors during his junior and senior season. After leading the Senators to the state playoffs in 2005 and 2006, he committed to playing for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, where he remained for two seasons before transferring to Jacksonville State. Joevan Eugene Catron (born February 25, 1988) is an American former professional basketball player. Early life Catron is a graduate of Thornton Township High School, where he attended all four years, while also playing basketball. He also played varsity football his sophomore year. He earned first-team All-State honors his senior year. After high school, Catron was invited to the USA Team U-18 tryouts before heading to the University of Oregon. College career Catron started his college career at the University of Oregon in 2006.
