The Mercyhurst Lakers represented Mercyhurst College in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Frozen Four was hosted by Mercyhurst College at Louis J. Tullio Arena in Erie, Pennsylvania. Offseason * Jesse Scanzano participated in the evaluation camp for the senior 2010–11 Canadian national women's team. Bemidji State Beavers Women's Ice Hockey
The Bemidji State Beavers are a women's college hockey team representing Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minnesota, United States. They play at the NCAA Division I level, and compete in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA). History The Bemidji State University intercollegiate women's ice hockey program began competition in the 1998–1999 season. The first head coach was Ruthann Cantile. She was head coach from the program's founding to the start of WCHA play, and the beginning of national NCAA Championships in 2001. Over the next several years, Bemidji State met with little success, while playing against the best teams in the nation, in conference play. Brampton Thunder
The Markham Thunder was a professional women's ice hockey team in the Canadian Women's Hockey League (CWHL). From 1998 through 2017, the franchise was known as the Brampton Thunder and Brampton Canadettes-Thunder before relocating from Brampton, Ontario, to Markham, Ontario, for the 2017–18 season. The CWHL ceased operations in 2019 and no further statements or actions were taken with the franchise. 2010 Four Nations Cup
The 2010 4 Nations Cup was an international women's ice hockey competition held in Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador and St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador from November 9 to November 13, 2010. Games were played at the Clarenville Events Centre and Mile One Centre. The 15th edition of the international tournament was held in Newfoundland to help Hockey Newfoundland and Labrador mark its 75th anniversary. The teams involved were from Canada, the United States, Sweden and Finland. Gold medal game In the gold medal game of the 2010 4 Nations Cup, Rebecca Johnston's second goal of the game won the gold medal for Canada.
