2010–11 Logan Cup
The 2010–11 Logan Cup was a first-class cricket competition held in Zimbabwe from 6 September 2010 to 3 April 2011. The tournament was won by the Matabeleland Tuskers, who defeated the Mountaineers by 18 runs in the final. During the group stage of the competition, the Mountaineers remained unbeaten in their twelve matches, and the batting and bowling tables were both led by Mountaineers players. Hamilton Masakadza was the competition's leading run-scorer, accruing 852 runs, while Tendai Chatara took more wickets than any other player, claiming 55 in total. The Southern Rocks and the previous season's champions, the Mashonaland Eagles, both suffered poor campaigns, and failed to win a single match during the tournament. Zimbabwe Cricket
Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC), previously known as the Zimbabwe Cricket Union (ZCU) until 2004, is the governing body for the sport of cricket in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe Cricket is a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and administers the Zimbabwe national cricket team, organising Test tours, One-Day Internationals and Twenty20 Internationals with other nations. It also organises domestic cricket, including the Castle Logan Cup, the Coca-Cola Metbank Pro50 Championship and the Stanbic Bank 20 Series in Zimbabwe. Keegan Meth
Keegan Orry Meth (born 8 February 1988) is a Zimbabwean cricketer. He plays domestically for the Matabeleland Tuskers and has represented Zimbabwe in One Day Internationals (ODIs). An all-rounder, he bowls right-arm medium-fast and generally bats in the lower middle order. Early life and education He attended Whitestone School, Falcon College, St Georges College Harare and subsequently Christian Brothers College. His academic performance was poor, but he excelled in sport. Career He made his debut for Zimbabwe in 2006, in a One Day International (ODI) against Kenya at Bulawayo. He was aged 18 at the time. Russell Tiffin
Russell Blair Tiffin (born 4 June 1959) is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a member of the ICC International umpire panel from 1995 to 2018 when he retired. Early life Tiffin was born in Salisbury, Southern Rhodesia (now Harare, Zimbabwe). His family were farmers in the Tengwe area in the north of the country. Tiffin was educated at Banket Primary School and Prince Edward High School in Harare, where he became a wicketkeeper-batsman. After three years of military service, he played for Mashonaland in the days before Zimbabwean provincial cricket had first-class status, while working as a manager for Castrol Zimbabwe. Owen Chirombe
Owen Chirombe (born 30 March 1973), is a Zimbabwean cricket umpire. He first umpired in first-class cricket in 2005, and in 2010 was involved in international cricket for the first time, umpiring a One Day International between Zimbabwe and Ireland. Mutare Sports Club
Mutare Sports Club is a cricket ground in Mutare, Manicaland Province, Zimbabwe. It is located just to the south-east of the city centre, next to Main Park. It has been the home ground of the Mountaineers, one of Zimbabwe's first-class cricket franchises, since they were formed in 2009. Prior to the reorganisation of Zimbabwean cricket, it was the home ground of the Manicaland team. The ground was originally called the Umtali Sports Club, before Umtali was renamed as Mutare in 1982. Prosper Utseya
Prosper Utseya (born 26 March 1985 in Harare, Zimbabwe) is a Zimbabwean cricketer, who plays all formats of the game. He was the former captain of Zimbabwe from 2006 to 2010. He bowls right-arm off break and is a useful right-hand batsman. Utseya has not played any form of cricket since 2015. Natsai M'shangwe
Natsai M’shangwe (born 9 February 1991) is an international cricketer. He made his ODI debut in a match against the Netherlands. He is an all-rounder. Mushwange's favourite cricketer is Pakistan's all-rounder Shahid Afridi; he is his favourite cricketer because Afridi is a flamboyant batter with a good ability to ball legbreak, similar to that of Mushangwe. Timycen Maruma
Timycen Maruma (born 19 April 1988) is a Zimbabwean international cricketer. Beginning his cricketing career as a leg-spinner, he shifted his role to an all-rounder. In 2008, he scored his maiden first-class half-century (71) against a strong Pakistani representative team. Maruma had his best first-class season to date in 2007 when he teamed up with fellow spinner Prosper Utseya to help Easterns province lift the Logan Cup.
