2010–11 KNVB Cup
The 2010–11 KNVB Cup was the 93rd season of the Dutch national football knockout tournament. The competition began on 18 August 2010 with the matches of Round 1 and ended with the final on 8 May 2011. AFC Ajax were the defending champions. The winners of the competition qualify for the play-off round of the 2011–12 UEFA Europa League. FC Twente claimed the cup after a 3–2 edge win over Ajax Amsterdam. Calendar The calendar for the remaining rounds of the 2010–11 KNVB Cup, as announced by the KNVB was as follows. First round Four amateur clubs competed in this stage of the competition for two places in the Second Round. These matches took place on 18 August 2010. Rijnsburgse Boys is a football club from Rijnsburg in the Netherlands. The club was established on 24 March 1930. They currently play in the Tweede Divisie. The club won the Saturday Hoofdklasse A title in the 2005–06, 2006–07 and 2008–09 seasons. Since being founded in 1930 till 1957, the club has played on several locations in Rijnsburg. VV DOVO, short for Voetbalvereniging Door Ons Vrienden Opgericht, is a football club from Veenendaal, Netherlands. History The club was founded in 1933 as DVO and later changed its name to DOVO to set itself apart from a nearby club with an identical name. DOVO won section championships in lower leagues in 1936, 1937,1938, 1948, 1949, 1958, 1960, and 1967. In 1970 DOVO promoted to the Eerste Klasse, where it initially won sections in 1975, 1977, 1979, 1989, 1991, and 1994.
